A cover of a recent issue of Esquire asked “When the hell did Christina Ricci become so sexy?” Uh, she’s always been sexy to us. But she’s definitely been getting hotter for sure. And since she turned out a disturbingly seductive/destructive performance in Black Snake Moan, mainstream brands are noticing. Last night she attended the launch party of the Samsonite Black Label Fashionaire Collection at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York. She’s the “ambassador” for the line, whatever that means. But who cares, she looked classic and still a little trashy…just the way we like her. Oh you pretty dirty thing…

After a five year hiatus Maroon 5 is finally releasing their second album. And what better way to kick-off a long awaited album than a groovy new video? For their first single, “Makes Me Wonder” the guys take it to the air, literally. The sound has a funkadelic melody that makes you want to get up and move. It also features plenty of laser lights which also lends itself to boogieing. Most of the video takes place in an airplane and an airport (a favorite setting in the world of music videos) with sexy flight attendants and a dapper Adam Levine. This boy is a boy no more. Watching Adam strut in his tux makes us want to spot check him, too! One question? Can we fly with you fellas?

More air-inspired vids:

Britney joined the mile high club in this video for “Toxic.”

Comedian-Rocker Dave Grohl played a cast of characters on this airplane video. Watch out for some Tenacious cameos.

Watches, like wearing pants, never seem to go out of style. So why don’t we hear about people going watch shopping with the same voracity that can drive one to spend days, if not weeks, if not FOREVER, on the prowl for shoes? You can never have too much of anything (well, except, say, credit card debt maybe), so why not watches? And with Daylight Savings Time in full effect, perhaps now is the time for a new wardrobe for your poor, neglected wrist? These rad time pieces turn the otherwise mundane, boring task of telling time into a colorful, stylish and fun affair! Yay! Just ANOTHER reason to stare the minutes away at school or work!

Legendary daddy (Run of Run DMC) and uncle (Russell Simmons)? Check. Hit TV show (”Run’s House”)? Check? Looks (look at the pic)? Check. They got it all. Watching Angela and Vanessa Simmons on MTV’s Run’s House, you quickly realized these girls were going to do big things. So no surprise that they recently launched their own line of sneakers, Pastry Footwear, a part of their dad’s company, Run Athletics. The first collection, The Cake Collection, features the Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet, and Sprinkles. Each pair ($64.99) comes packaged in a satin ribbon tied-box which will include a lipgloss that matches the shoe. This sounds all so sweet and cute…YUM!

PS: Don’t forget to tune in April 9th at 10PM for the premiere of Run’s House’s third season!

adidas-easter-collection-21.jpgadidas-easter-collection-1.jpgEaster Sunday is coming up next week. You know what that means. No not eggs and bunnies…limited edition kicks! This year enjoy releases from Reebok and adidas. Reebok hooked up with atmos Tokyo on the Pump Omni (pictured) as well as an upcoming Court Victory Pump for their “Easter Pack.” adidas has the “Easter Bunny Club” with the classic Top Ten Hi an Top Ten Lo. The adidas joints remind us of Easter more than the Reeboks. But hey, maybe we’re being too literal and need to expand our mind. So forget the eggs…go hunting for these…

Here’s a little sneak peak of the upcoming Target GO International collaboration with Libertine we promised you. We’re not quite sure what to make of them. We know it’s just a preview, but it looks pretty safe and plain compared to what we’ve come to expect from the usual edgy and daring designs of Libertine. Well, we’ll leave our final judgement when the line hits stores in June. As we all know, Target GO International has been a hit so we’re anxiously waiting to see..

Alas, the legging trend is showing no sign of surrendering. And at this point, that’s understandable, especially as the weather gets warmer, availing ladies everywhere the need to go those extra few inches as it were and do the whole tights thing. That’s great because it’s like the door to wedges, skimmers, slip-on sneaks and ballet flats has finally been flung wide open, and footwear options are multiplying like little bunnies in the spring sun.

That said, there is NO excuse for metallic leggings. None whatsoever. Do you really wanna roll down the sidewalk looking like a gum wrapper? Or the Tinman’s girlfriend? Or The Rocketeer? Or a tube of Aquafresh? Remember, take the accent mark off “lamé” and what do you get? You get “lame.” It doesn’t matter that Michael Kors recently sent them down the runway, or Balenciaga sewed up a pair that costs roughly the same as a BMW M5. It doesn’t matter if Sienna Miller wears ‘em to the opening of an envelope. Even Hilary Duff was not at her full cuteness potential when she wore ‘em recently on ‘TRL’ Italy, and she usually looks cute in EVERYTHING. Lindsay Lohan wore her drawers on the outside of her pants; that doesn’t make it acceptable. Sometimes we mortals know better than celebrities since, you know, we’re the ones spending all that time in the real world.

So, please, do us — and most importantly, yourself — a favor: leave the metal to Lars Ulrich and keep your leggings the one color that never goes outta style: black.

OK. We LOVE tunics, but first we need to clear up some misconceptions about what a tunic exactly is.

At its most basic, a tunic is a top (duh), but that’s where much of the agreement ends. After that it becomes sorta like porn: you know it when you see it. Let’s skip the whole ancient Roman Empire origins and fast-forward to now, when we shall attempt an amalgam of a description:

A tunic is basically a loose-fitting top that usually extends to the knees or at least the hips. The essence of the tunic is often interchangeable with the mini-dress, and it can (and usually should!) be worn over something, like leggings, tights, jeans or shorts.

That’s it. We’re not going to get into the difference between tunics and smocks, tunics and frocks, tunics and jumpers or tunics and everything else. Instead, let’s just take what the awesome Anna Sui said about tunic’s cousin, the mini-dress, and appropriate it into a simple working definition of the tunic: “It’s really a giant T-shirt that’s dressier, prettier and a little more feminine.” Word.

So, that, and the fact that they’re really cute and look great on all body types and they’re really in style and perfect for looking adorbs in warm weather is just about all you need to know.

Now that we’ve gotten to know the tunic inside and out, here are 10 top tunic picks to fit all budgets and bodies.
