PRODUCT OF THE DAY: Triple 5 Soul Vacation Bag

t5s_sjb53613.jpg

Is it just us, or is everyone’s brain in vacation/out-of-office/school’s out mode? We can’t stop staring out our window at the sunny city below, and we’re pretty sure that if we were in class right now, we’d be on a mental holiday in The Seychelles or somewhere equally as fabulous. At least Wildwood, ya know?

Anyway, to prepare for our fantasy vacation, we’re also doing some fantasy shopping — where you fill your cart with all sortsa stuff you’re jonesin’ for and then sadly, with a heavy heart, close the site before you gotta pay. (Online analysts hate that sorta thing — there’s even a name for it: abandonment. But, it sure beats shoplifting, no?)

So, what’s in our cart? This deliciously comfy looking Vacation Bag by Triple Five Soul. Aside from its super roomie-ness, this bag looks as soft as your dearest well-worn undies. Except you know you wouldn’t be morftified to be seen in public with this piece.

Anyway, if we were headed somewhere warm, we’d definitely love to sport this beachy bag on our (very pale) shoulder.

It’s $109 via one of our fave etailers, 80spurple.com

Not just in music videos, even in those paparazzi shots of her walking her kid. No right? So of course none of us are surprised at how flawless she looks in her latest video, “4 in the Morning.” She sports several looks here: chilling in the bedroom look, corporate business look, casual chic Sunday look, etc. There’s something very dreamy abou the way they shot this, makes it feel like you’re in another time period almost. Only Happy When it Rains

umbrella.jpgumbrella2.jpg

For those miserably rainy days (much like the one we’re having today in NYC) we have only one thing on our minds: how on earth am I going to stay dry? Check out these great products that will protect you from the rain drops and maintain your style quotient simultaneously. Look at this sweet little Palm Tree umbrella! It’s definitely original with leaves convincing enough to take your mind off the bad weather to a more tropical locale (maybe not, but it’s cute). Or check out these high fashion umbrellas for the both sexy AND functional! What about this adorable J. crew whale printed umbrella?

Of course, we can’t forget our feet and how perilous their journey becomes on a rainy day. Sure some rain boots look great, like this polka dot one from Target, or these ultra sturdy and sexy rubber boots by Tretorn. BUT, designer Alexandre Herchcovitch has raised the bar with these galoshes. These weather resistant wedges don’t even look like your typical rain boot. Now you can keep dry without compromising your sexy.

And here’s an absolutely perfect video for rainy days, Garbage:

Cell Phone Charging Swimsuit

solarswimsuit.jpg

It’s not the most fitting or most appealing looking swimsuit we’ve seen but it may just be the coolest. Lingerie and swimwear maker Triumph is the first manufacturer to make a swimsuit featuring solar panels that can charge your cell phone or iPod. Named, duh, the Solar Swimsuit, it will be released early next year, no prices have been announced yet. Ladies, what’s your take? Fellas, I’m sure you are already have a list of one liners to use on a girl wearing one of these on the beach.

PRODUCT OF THE DAY: Beyonce’s Keyhole Dress

We posted about the Beyonce/Shakira “Beautiful Liar” video about a month ago, and one of you lovely faithful readers posted a comment asking where one can find the sexy dress Beyonce slinks around in in the video. She rocks a few different “ensembles, as our friend Mimi likes to call them, but of course, everything B wears in the video is super sexy, so we’re assuming you mean the keyhole dress in the very beginning of the video.

First, you should know: keyholes are most often found in the BACK of dresses. But Beyonce isn’t usually known for her conservative clothing choices, so if you’re her, why the hell not wear a keyhole (or peekaboo) style in the front? But keep in mind that there was probably a small army keeping busy by taping Beyonce’s bits and pieces during that shoot to avoid any Janet-esque revelations.

Anyway, should you decide to take a turn in a keyhole dress, we remind you to leave at least a leeeeettle bit to the imagination, k? And black’s definitely the way to go since the lack of bold colors or busy prints lets your slip of skin steal the show. (Hopefully not the entire show though).

Here are a few we pulled from the racks.

rowley.jpg

Our top pick is this great flirty little black dress by Cynthia Rowley (one half of Target’s Swell designers). While the dress Beyonce wears is a maxi-dress, we know she also likes to rock the “to here” short-short dresses too. And the shoulder detailing is darling! And look! JUST enough chest exposed to assure you won’t get kicked out of church. $268, Zappos.com

yankspg.jpg

We’re truly loving this fun and flirty frock by Yank, and we’re definitely loving the price too! $34.99, Macys.com

pally.jpg

This daring Rachel Pally dress is the ultimate slinky, sexpot-with-style selection. $198, Shopbop.com

41xkaw4183l_aa280_.jpg

The classic V-neck cut on this Surplice dress by Newport News flatters just about every figure. $59, Amazon.com

puffpg.jpg

We love the sexy satin sleeves on this dress. $75.08, Asos.com

colorblock.jpg

A fun, more conservative daytime look. We love the colorblock action! $25.74, Asos.com

260211_fpxtif.jpg

And finally, we think this Calvin Klein dress is the most elegant of the bunch. $148, Macys.com

Now go forth and rock your freakum keyhole dress. (And again, remember: double-sided tape can work wonders!)

PRODUCT OF THE DAY: ’80s Retro Prom Dress

32171t.JPG

Yesterday was prom day on TRL and Ann Shoket the new Editor-in-Chief of Seventeen Magazine stopped by and told us about three hot trends for the 2007 prom season. One of the trends is “’80s Retro Girl,” and Ann picked out a perfect ’80s party girl dress by Jessica McClintock. We love this trend too because it’s all about the bright colors and the lots o’ legs factor. The other two trends Ann mentioned were “Modern Princess” and “Bombshell.” What prom trend are you going to go for this season?
