Oh yeah, he’s Superbad, which is why Damien declared it “the year of Seth Rogen” on TRL today. (Right up there with the year of the rat — way to go, Seth!) From the sex-obsessed sidekick in The 40-Year-Old Virgin to unexpected love interest in Knocked Up, Seth is indeed moving on up in the world. But he’s not afraid to poke fun at himself. In fact, Superbad is based on Seth’s real-life experiences — or lack thereof — with high school girls. Apparently, chicks just didn’t dig this bespectacled, curly haired guy who wrote screenplays in his spare time. Go figure.
These days, Seth sometimes spends his free time going to concerts. Which is why we present to you …
Seth Rogen’s Top Three Concerts of All Time!
1. Wu-Tang Clan at Rock the Bells festival (one of their last performances with ODB)
2. Former Pink Floyd principal Roger Waters on the Dark Side of the Moon tour
3. OutKast

• After 13 days on the TRL countdown, Boys Like Girls‘ “The Great Escape” climbed to No. 1! And when the guys celebrated with Damien via webcam, they announced that they’re planning to shoot a new video in September for their song “Hero/Heroine.” We can’t wait!
• We all know, Ludacris loves the ladies. But what does he really think about celebrity chicks? Well, before taking a 1st Look at his latest video, “Celebrity Chick” (with Chingy, Small World and Steph Jones) on TRL today, he spilled the beans, calling Paris Hilton a “party girl” even though she says she’s changing her wild ways. And, apparently, 19-year-old Rihanna is “mature for her age” while Fergie Ferg is one “down-to-earth” girl, according to Luda.

Sean Kingston heated up the TRL studio today with a performance of his hit song “Beautiful Girls.” As usual, there were a lot of lovely ladies in the audience, but we needed to know who really makes Sean blush! When Damien asked, Sean admitted his top three cuties are: Rihanna, Christina Milian and Meagan Good! But fear not, girls … Sean wants all of you to know that he’s addicted to reading his comments and checking out his friends on MySpace! “I check my MySpace page all the time!” he says. It’s what chills him out before he goes onstage.
Before you check out Sean’s MySpace page, peep his “Beautiful Girls” video:

Okay, dudes. Lest you think we gave you el shaftoid, we’ve got plenty of fall fashion picks for you too, k? (Sorry! We’re just really partial to lipstick and nail polish! We can’t help it!) Anyway, we’re all about all things that are downtown designer (eventhough the brand was actually born in Williamsburg) Yoko Devereaux. Unfortunately there’s no actual Yoko (could there ever really be another Yoko?), but there DOES exist the brand’s creative genius, Andy Salzer, who smartly weaves the most elegant elements of menswear into chic yet totally comfortable, never-ever stuffy slim suit jackets, skinny pants and covet-inducing coats with a decidedly rock edge, flanked by creative concepts, like his Fall/Winter 2007 line inspired by the creepy-cool film “A Clockwork Orange.” We’re way into smart menswear and way WAY into this amazing pullover zippered hoodie — it’s casual enough to wear over a Tee, but refined enough to wear on a night out without looking like a serious scrub. Excess points are also awarded to Salzer for taking a wardrobe staple and treating it to a smart, unexpected and long-overdue twist, which is exactly what we love about this piece. It’s $154. And if you’re looking for jeans to go with your rad new hoodie, check out our Back-to-School Style Survival Guide.
Oh and, check out this interview with the designer. He’s totally into the rad new video, “D.A.N.C.E,” by French electro-pop outfit Justice, and so are we! A menswear genius AND a Justice fan? We’re in love!

It just wouldn’t be summer if there weren’t nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards. And just so you realize that all of this hot, sticky and rather disgusting weather was not a global warming anomaly, we’re here to let you know that the VMA nominee announcement is a mere week away!
Want to know first? Be sure to tune into TRL on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. ET. Of course, we’ll reveal all of the juicy details on the spiffier-than-ever-before vma.mtv.com. Hey, we had to dress it up, cuz we’re taking the ride to Vegas, baby, for the big show.
Be sure to cruise the site often, as there’s puh-lenty of kickin’ VMA stuff to get you in the mood for the big throwdown. Including this collection of the VMAs Greatest Hits:

As if falling off the wagon, pending DUI and cocaine charges and the general mayhem that is her spotlit life weren’t enough, Lindsay Lohan is being sued in Los Angeles by a woman who claims she and her bodyguard hit her car. TMZ is reporting that after cutting her off in their SUV, Lohan and her keeper were hostile and gave the woman a fake name before driving away.

If you haven’t started your back-to-school shopping, a.) why haven’t you checked out our Back-to-School Style Survival Guide? and b.) what could you possibly be waiting for? We like to shop all year and just sorta refer to it as back-to-school shopping, because… you know… if you “learn something new every day,” then shouldn’t the stuff you buy count as school shopping?? But that’s just us.
Anyway, we were stoked to “learn” (see where we’re going here … seriously.. try it on your parents — you’ll be school shopping in February!) about Designateria, a clothing brand completely devoted to both living, dressing and supporting all things rock. Not only are all of their Tees (they also make hoodies and jackets and lingerie and stuff for guys too) super-duper velvety-buttery-baby-kitten soft, but they’re also open to new artists designing for them, and they’re all about promoting music by new artists. Sweet! Anyway, while we’re partial to New York (we can, after all, see Times Square from our offices over here), we especially love their “L.A. Street” top in burnout grey. It’s $36 and available here.
And check out our ‘First Ladies’ interviews Kelly Clarkson — she’s a Designateria fan too! Smart girl!

Remember last fall when Keds teamed up with goddess of the rock poster, graphic designer Eleanor Grosch, who designed those oh-so-adorable-it’s-almost-sick slip-ons and put camels, owls, seahorses, parrots and pandas (oh my!) all over happy little feet everywhere? (We saw ‘em first on Keds spokesmodel Mischa Barton.) Well, good news: you can expect a whole new line of Eleanor-designed Mary Jane-style flats in more eeek-inducing cuddly creatures like elephants, doves and rhinos, but you can also expect some different, super-sophisticated gear too by designer Nanette Lepore in fall-forward fabrics like velvet with of-the-now accents like metallics, bows, monograms, and, our favorite: sequins! We’re swooning over the Nanette LTT Bootie above. (And helllloooo! We told you purple’s huge this season!) They hit stores in August, so go get ‘em before they all run off! And get more fall fashions from our Back-To-School Style Survival Guide.
