Gym Class Heroes Head To The VMAs

We love Gym Class Heroes! But, really, does anyone not like them? The indie hip-hoppers always seem to come up with the most infectious beats -- "Cupid's Chokehold," anyone? So it comes as no surprise that they're nominated for Best Group at the VMAs. (They'll also be performing -- yay!)

Hey, did you know that, before the totally tempting alt.hip-hoppers scored their first big hit, singer Travis McCoy won a national MC battle on MTV's Direct Effect? Aside from winning some serious street cred, he got a bit part in Styles P's video for Daddy Get That Cash. Since then he's made cameos in label mates (and mentors) Fall Out Boy's videos for "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me," "Dance, Dance" and "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arm's Race."
