Next up on our docket of poolside shows is Boys Like Girls, the emo band known for their hook-heavy hit “The Great Escape.” And for tearing a page out of the How To Be A Hot Rocker Handbook (which doesn’t exist but really should), because the boys looked tight and right, rockin’ the black skinny jeans in the middle of the desert like they were born to do it. Kim Stoltz introed the Boston boys, who then proceeded to rock the scantily clad crowd at the Palms pool with their amped-up power pop. Lead hottie Martin Johnson worked the crowd like a seasoned pro, while John Keefe nearly destroyed the drumkit. And all of ‘em managed to maintain righteous, ruling rock hair. The only that would’ve made the show even more perfect would’ve been if they’d have lept in the pool, clothes, guitar and all. Oh well. There’s always next year. Anyway, check out their video, "The Great Escape" here. We can't stop singing it.
And watch the entire six-song live poolside set here.
