After all the hype, the Rock Band video game finally comes out in just a few hours. We gave you a little taste of what to expect during last week's TRL Rock Band special, where we interviewed Tom DeLonge of Angels & Airwaves. While we were backstage, we also got to chat with Sebastian Bach and Lacey Mosley and Pat Seals of Flyleaf. Here's what went down…
After telling us about a potentially catastrophic tour bus wreck they barely avoided, Lacey and Pat joked around about how the other Flyleaf members, especially guitarist Jared Hartmann, are obsessive gamers. "They are totally, ridiculously letting their lives go to nothing because of gaming," Lacey said with a laugh. "Jared's wife has to be a gamer in order to spend quality time with him." As for the band's plans for '08, Lacey revealed to us that, after playing some European dates with Korn, they're crossing their fingers that they'll get to tour with Seether. "That's our ideal," said Lacey, who added that Flyleaf is "longing" to get back into the studio to record some new material.
Meanwhile, Sebastian -- who was totally strung out on "the bean of life" (aka Starbucks coffee) -- talked a little bit about the elusive Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy. He said he recorded a song called "Sorry" with Axl Rose but, like everyone else, had no clue when the album might see the light of day. "But Axl's played me at least four albums' worth of material," he said. In the meantime, Axl lends vocals to three songs on Sebastian's new album, Angel Down, which comes out tomorrow.
Oh, and, even though no one has contacted him about the role yet, Sebastian totally convinced us that he would make the best Green Goblin ever when Spider-Man hits the Broadway stage.
