YOU love Boys Like Girls so much that you freaking break into Paul’s yard to snap photos of his dog to post on your MySpace page (err… stalker much?). WE love them so much that we got up in their grills with a recorder when they were here at 1515 last month and on the red carpet at the mtvU Woodie Awards, spied on them playing “Rock Band” in Vegas, and hunted them down on the set of their “Hero/ Heroine” video, (the second version if you’re keeping track, and you know you are). Oh yeah, and we took a (embarrassingly) large quantity of photos of their live show at the Palms pool during VMA weekend in Vegas. (Um, that doesn’t come off as desperate, does it?)
Now, it’s almost like we here at Music TeeVee are trying to adopt them as our unofficial house band. That’d explain why the band — known for their irresistibly infectious, fist-pumping pop-punk anthems like “The Great Escape” — has been on TRL (both the show and the countdown) so many times we’ve practically lost count. Not that we’re complaining. And it’d also explain why they’re this week’s MTV Artist of the Week.
Sooo… maybe we’re the ones with the stalker problem… And if you are too, you won’t have to go far to find them — Boys Like Girls will be all over your MTV all this week. they sound very good and they dont sound like every other band out there because no band sounds like another band.
