Rihanna, Good Charlotte & Timbaland Team Up With H&M To Fight AIDS

As much as we love musicians-turned-designers like Gwen Stefani and Fergie, we love pop fashion even more when musicians design for a good cause, like “Fashion Against AIDS,” a just-announced collaboration between H&M and Designers Against AIDS, featuring pieces designed exclusively for the project by Rihanna, Good Charlotte and Timbaland, in addition to Scissor Sisters, Ziggy Marley, My Chemical Romance, Tiga, Rufus Wainwright and fashion designers Henrik Vibskov and Katharine Hamnett.

The collaboration’s mission is simple: to raise funds for and awareness about the continuing spread of HIV/ AIDS, especially among people between 15 to 24 — who now make up half of all new HIV cases. As in, that’s the same age as a lot of the people reading this blog, and that’s serious.

The collection, which hits H&M stores in February 2008, features T-shirts, tanks and hoodies for guys and girls. And 25% of the proceeds go to HIV/AIDS prevention projects around the world through YouthAIDS.

So, check out the tops Rihanna, Tim and Good Charlotte are wearing in these photos, and then go get in on the action and get your own. But remember: whatever kinda action you’re getting into, keep it safe!

… And speaking of Rihanna and Good Charlotte…
