New Video: Ashlee Simpson, 'Out of My Head (Ay Ya Ya)'

One of our (new) favorite videos of '07 just squeaked in at the 11th hour (more or less) of the year. It's Ashlee Simpson's much-lauded new video, "Out of My Head (Ay Ya Ya)."

Holmes seriously brought it back old-school style with this kitschy cornucopia of colors, larger-than-life inanimate objects that move but shouldn't, and other forms of anxiety-producing surrealism, a la Steve Miller Band's "Abracadabra" and The Cars' "You Might Think," with a little bit of Evanescence and Madonna's "Frozen" thrown in there because of the whole writhing around in scary places wearing dark colors bit. Anyway, we give it high marks all around for creativity, presentation and, if we could, penmanship.
