Most bands form by meeting in school or at concerts. Not Metro Station. The electronic pop-rock group got its start on the set of Hannah Montana. Yes, that Hannah Montana.
In 2006, Trace Cyrus met his bandmate Mason Musso because their siblings, Miley and Mitchel, co-starred on the popular Disney TV series. From there, Trace and Mason formed Metro Station, later recruiting bassist/keyboardist Blake Healy and drummer Anthony Improgo on MySpace.
After an intern at Columbia Records heard their self-recorded tunes, they were quickly signed, and in 2007, they released their first full-length disc (self-titled).
Buzzworthy caught up with the foursome, and we asked Trace if he's talked to his sister and dad (Billy Ray) about a possible collaboration in the future. His response: "Very possible, very soon."
Watch the rest of the interview, where the group told us about their love for the Postal Service (the band, not the mail), going on tour with Good Charlotte, and making their new, dueling dance video, "Shake It" (which you can watch here).
