For those of you not so familiar with Prince Albert II (a.k.a. the reigning ruler of Monaco) here's three things you should know:
1) He's a Regular Joe. Despite being born in raised in the Palace of Monaco, his royal highness went to summer camp in exotic old New Hampshire and joined the Chi Psi frat while studying at Amherst. Party on, Al!
2) He's Still Single and Ready to Mingle. Alright, fine, so apparently he's been dating hottie South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock for some time now. But hey, nothing's final until there's a ring on dat finger. (Just ask the mothers of his two illegitimate children!)
And last, but definitely not least:
3) He's Got Great Taste In Music. Okay, so our French is a lot rusty, but according to this article -- and our rudimentary foreign language skills -- Prince Albert is borderline obsessed with Tokio Hotel. (Roughly translated, the article begins: "It's not a joke and Prince Albert isn't ashamed to say it: he adores the German group Tokio Hotel." Plus, it goes on to say that the prince and his, er, "partner" were reportedly "charmed" by the TH concert they attended in Monte Carlo.)
Guess those aging monarchs aren't nearly as out as touch as we thought! (C'mon, Queen Elizabeth -- time to 'fess up to that Guitar Hero: Aersomith addiction! We already know you fancy the Jonas Brothers.)
Anyways, thanks to Buzzworthy commenter/ TH blogger Charlotte for hipping us to Prince Albie's fandemonium, and to all of you Tokio Hotel die-hards for staying so... die-hard. Meanwhile, our next goal? Finding out which other foreign leaders have "Ready, Set, Go!" on their iPods.
