If there were any flashing lights at Kanye's rehearsal last night, they weren't coming from our cameras.
The theme of Kanye's VMA performance has been a bigger unknown than whatever Britney's got planned for her show-opening appearance -- note: I didn't say performance, but at this point, whatever Britney's got planned is what's gonna happen -- and last night's top-secret run through was no exception. Which is why that's an old photo of him -- no cameras allowed last night, so if someone out there was on the lot and snapped a camera phone shot you should fear the wrath of the 'Ye!
We know it'll go down in the B Tank, but we don't know which song he'll be doing. One of the rumors floating around the lot is Kanye will perform a song he just wrote this week, though I cannot imagine how he had time to write new songs what with all that blogging he's been doing this week.
Anyway, Shaheem Reid did manage to get a little more out of Yeezy when he rehearsed here Friday night. Shaheem reported back that Ye' was in a great mood as he cracked jokes and even spit a little of his verse from "Swagger Like Us," explaining his lines to one of MTV's talent producers. "How does it feel to wake up and be the sh-- and the urine."
Speaking of urine, you can soak up whatever Kanye's got planned when he closes out the whole show tonight with a purported-to-be-epic, you'll-still-be-talking-about-it-three-years-from-now performance.
