Hellooo, feelings! Mayday Parade's got a new Mark Staubach-directed (Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is...) clip, and it is one serious tear-jerker. "Miserable At Best" is a gut-wrenching break-up ballad with no punches pulled. Just look at these brutal lyrics:

"Let's not pretend that you're alone tonight (I know he's there)

You're probably hanging out and making eyes (While across the room, he stares)

I bet he gets the nerve to walk the floor and ask my girl to dance...

And she'll say yes."

ROUGH. But wait a minute... Doesn't this all look a little familiar? YES IT DOES! Were you alive in 1996 when Counting Crows dropped that mega-ton of heartache called "Long December" on the unsuspecting world? Let's review... Bad break-up, sad times, getting over it, band singing in the snow while interludes tell the story of a love gone wrong with a raven-haired beauty... The songs even sound alike!

Does this mean that the grocery store hottie in the Mayday Parade video is gonna be the star of the next Friends? Does this mean that "Jamie All Over" is the new "Mr. Jones?" Time will tell, Buzz-ards. Time will tell. For now, watch both videos (CC after the jump) at the same time and see if you can even tell them apart!

At some point, we've probably gotta stop thinking of Tamarama as Whitney Port's boyfriend's band. 'Course at this rate, that'll happen around the same time we stop looking at 30 Seconds To Mars as Jared Leto's group (or listening to Fall Out Boy without picturing Pete Wentz down on one knee and proposing.)

Sorry, Jay, but as long as you continue to melt our hearts on The City with your grand romantic gestures and your amazing Aussie accent ("That Whitney's a key-puh!"), we're powerless to disassociate you from the reggae pop group you're so desperately trying to promote. Which isn't to say we're not that into you -- er, your band -- because WE! SO! ARE!

(At least, 'til Whitney meets someone else and we completely lose interest.)

But before that happens, check out Tamarama's new video, "Everything To Me," and see what all the fuss is all about and why we sorta wish Jay was our boyfers too. True, "Everything To Me" doesn't reinvent the wheel -- the cool, laid-back beach vibe made us think happy, albeit slightly boring, vacationy thoughts -- but what it lacks in imagination, it more than makes up for in eye candy.

If you happen to spot Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' Ronnie Winter out and about in NYC today, and his usually well-groomed mane looks a little disheveled, it's because he left his hairbrush (that's the actual specimen above) in the green room of the photo studio here at MTV HQ. Ronnie, if you need that sucker back give MTV a ringyding

+ Watch RJA's latest video, "You Better Pray," preview their upcoming album, Lonely Road, check out some old-school RJA photos, and stay tuned for the well-groomed results of today's photo shoot.

In the half-animated, super-saturated video for "America's Suitehearts," Fall Out Boy takes the whole Hollywood media circus to new levels with their hyper-literal interpretation. Decked out in skeleton suits and flaming hats, the boys greet visitors from "Normal World" and watch as their faces are transformed into pizza-y cartoon monstrosities by paparazzi flashes.

But you probably already know that. The video's been in circulation for a minute now. What I wanna know is, is Fall Out Boy mocking the overblown music scene that they've come to represent? Or are they celebrating it? Sure the video has an ironic tone. And it's pretty standard for bands who go big to immediately bite the hand that feeds them. But Fall Out Boy isn't just any band. And, sarcastic as they may be, they also sing, over and over again, "I'm in love with my own sins." Love? That sounds pretty positive. So, tell me... When they sing "Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts," do they really mean it?

Patrick? Pete? Anyone? Watch "America's Suitehearts" and look for answers in Pete Wentz's MTV News interview after the jump!

Sorry, first commenter at the top of this AbsolutePunk thread, but We The Kings' "Secret Valentine" video is totally on MTV. It's directed by Noah Shulman, who also shot Hey Monday's "Homecoming," video.

Check out photos from the video shoot, catch the video all day today on mtvU, and do NOT miss Travis and Danny freaking out over Kid Rock. (Seriously, it is totally worth your click.)

+ Side note: Travis' cocky-cute smile is totally sweeter than those chocolate Valentine's surprise samplers that come in the heart-shaped boxes (ahem) that you get at the drugstore. The ones with the purring kittens or SpongeBob on them. Feel free to tell me what you think -- people, pets, candy, other inanimate objects, etc. -- Travis and WTK are as cute as in the comments...

+ Amy Winehouse is mourning her impending dee-vorce to Blake Fielder-Civil by strutting around in child-sized t-shirts, boozing, and shacking up with a fitness instructor in St. Lucia. We won't even bother taking a pot shot at the sad, sad irony of that "Going Bananas" shirt. (PopSugar - UK)

+ T.I. and Justin Timberlake join an already-amazing Grammys lineup that includes Katy Perry, Kanye and the Jonas Brothers. Perfection! Now, if only we could get Barack Obama to host... (MTV News)

+ The New Kids On The Block have just announced their spring tour dates! Check 'em out, and find out when the aging boy banders will be coming to a retirement home near you. (Celebuzz)

+ This just in: The ABDCrews are gonna be dancing to the musical stylings of comeback queen Britney Spears! You know, kinda like how you do at home, EXCEPT ON TV! And with a little help from Brit's personal choreographer, Andre Fuentes. (Remote Control)

+ Janet Jackson has indefinitely postponed the rest of her international Rock Witchu tour, citing migraines, laziness the "economic crisis." (Usmagazine.com)

+ Hilary Duff to star in a new Bonnie & Clyde remake! Allure, you totally called that Faye Dunaway connex. (E! Online)

+ Thank you, Mischa Barton, for reminding us that one black cape + your grandpa's suit AND TIE + one crazy, floppy sunhat = an unforgivable crime of fashion. (Scandalist)

+ Pete Wentz says Who Framed Roger Rabbit? -- the inspiration for FOB's "I Don't Care" video -- is one of the "most overlooked" flicks in movie history. Also? It's, like, a metaphor for LIFE! "When you're throwing people in the goo," explains Professor Wentz, "you have to realize that you are the person who is scared to get in it." Hey, thanks for ruining the ending, brah! (MTV News)

+ Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has just gotten engaged to her boyfriend of one month! Now, we ain't sayin' she's a gold diggah ... but dude owns an ENTIRE YACHTING COMPANY -- and gave her a $310,000 engagement ring. (Access Hollywood)

Any good Lily Allen fan will tell you -- 2007 and 2008 were crap years for Lily. There was the O.O.M.W.H.A.F.D. incident (Oversharing On Myspace While Having A Fat Day), her miscarriage in early 2008, the demise of her relationship with the Chemical Brothers' Ed Simons, and her catfight with Elton John, which was actually pretty great, because Elton needs to be taken down a few pegs every now and again.

That her first single, "The Fear," off her upcoming album, It's Not Me, It's You (out February 10 in America), is a pensive, paranoid reflection on overinflated celebrity culture and super-human expectations is far from surprising. Nor is it surprising that the finally-all-grown-up Alice In Wonderland-themed clip is Lily Allen's best -- and most mature -- video to date.

It's directed by Nez, who's also worked with The Streets and British rapper Kano, and shot "The Fear" in Bedfordshire, England.

The cover of Snow Patrol's latest album, A Hundred Million Suns, almost featured a buck-nekky Gary Lightbody! Instead, you got a bunch of origami stars because Snow Patrol's got a little paper-folding habit.

Another thing you might not know about A Hundred Million Suns -- it's got a secret connection to U2's epic Achtung Baby and Lou Bega's "Mambo #5." (May God have mercy on our souls, because that song's worse than a fresh case of poison ivy, which of course means I have to include it in this post... You're welcome!)

OMD! Arch Angels, you've totally already seen it already, but I'd be remiss not to devote an entire post to David Archuleta's latest video, "A Little Too Not Over You," known in the Archu-mmunity as "ALTNOY." Anyway, my digi cam's got blurry, fuzzy shots of, like, my cat and family vacations so ancient I'm not even like related to those people anymore, but David Archuleta's memory card is full of mature-sounding memories. Seriously, is David almost all growed up? Also, more importantly, who would dump Archie? NOT Buzzworthy, obvs! (And WHY was that girl so emo over losing at "Rock Band"? Ew.)

PS! See which other American Idol alum used a camera as a prominent theme in their video...

Fairfax, Virginia -- home of the annual, edible-sculpture-producing Chocolate Lovers Festival -- hasn't turned out any Wikipedia-worthy national news since the Civil War. Well, all that's about to change thanks to the explosive emergence of an unignorably raucous new pop-punk band called The Friday Night Boys.

If the name sounds familiar, maybe you caught them among MTV.com's "Pop-Punk Rookies of 2009," or playing live on TRL's 'On Your Radar.' Maybe you're one of their 63,949 (as of 7:00 tonight) MySpace friends.

Regardless, if you're already a Friday Night Boys fan, you're about to have a whole lotta company! Nevermind the fact that they sold 45,000 downloads of their SELF-RELEASED debut EP. The Fueled By Ramen freshmen recently got to work on their first full-length album with producer Emanuel Kiriakou (the same dude who's turned out hit after hit for David Archuleta, Jesse McCartney, Jordin Sparks and so many more) and it is all but guaranteed to SMOKE.

Watch for the full-length later this year... In the meantime, bone up on The Friday Night Boys and get ready to be dominated.
