The other day our MTV peoples had a very special chat with young MC Asher Roth. It's a Discover & Download clip in which College boy talks about how he came up and who helped him along the way. He also mentions, pretty emphatically, that if he couldn't cut it as a rapper, his first choice of a follow-up career would be teaching. "I think it's important to pass along those lessons," he said, "to other kids who don't really have guidance or a parent in their lives."
Hey... I wonder... What exactly would that look like...
Yo, third period history, I got a question, nahmeaaan? Yo look at it, look at it... Aiight so like, ya boy Tommy Jefferson, right? He's workin' all night on that joint the Declaration of, you know, Independence and whatnot? And in his head he's all wylin' like "Yo this declaration is wack. BLARGH!" Like he's even about to scrap it, see? Well right then his dude John Hancock breakS in, like, BLAzin', all "NAH, that's dope! That Declaration's dope!!! Keep runnin' with it, keep RUNNIN'!" And guess what? THAT's how the D.O.I. DONE DID IT in about 15 minutes, ma! And yo, third period, that's why it's called the founding fathers, feel me? Cuz weren't no single dude 'bout to eff up no American dream, word? Alright, BREAK. Do ya homework, love college, G's up, Solo cups down, respect ya neck.
