Sorry, slow-poke shoppers. F. U. seek Katy Perry's sequined peacock dress -- from Matthew Williamson's exclusive H&M collection -- well, too bad, because the selection is all but gone due to fashionistas clawing each other's faces off for the limited-edition collection of peacock palettes and rainbow-splashed tiger prints. In Toronto, shoppers hungry for the Matthew Williamson for H&M collection lined up at ungodly hours last week, and in New York shoppers left H&Ms looking pretty much like ancient Greece after the fall of Troy.
Katy Perry, Mischa Barton, and Nicky Hilton all got early access to the dress, which retailed at a very un-celeb-like $79. But if you're a super sleuth or just super lucky, you might still be able to find a lone Matthew Williamson sequined peacock dress or two at H&M. However, the stores aren't getting any more of the first wave of Matthew Williamson's peacock goods in. (Hence, limited-edition.) So, check eBay for Katy's peacock dress, if you're mentally prepared for price gouging. (Jerks!... But if you're desperate, you're desperate.)
However, REJOICE! For the second wave of Matthew Williamson's H&M collection hits H&M stores worldwide on May 14 and features TONS more peacock treasures, including a peacock sundress, so get your talons out, mkay?
