MTV is turning 28 years young (old) tomorrow, Saturday, August 1st, and instead of drinking some stupid combination of alcohol and generic fruit juice that we're too old for, or getting a Dairy Queen ice cream cake with the little chocolate crunchies (you're NEVER too old for those -- those are SO delicious), we'll be celebrating by remembering an artist who's given more to MTV over those 28 years than almost anyone else -- the late Michael Jackson.

At 12pm ET/PT, watch the world premiere of Michael Jackson's Human Nature -- an MTV special featuring  candid stories from Michael Jackson's friends and colleagues about the human side of Michael Jackson, not just Michael Jackson the entertainer.

At 12:30pm ET/PT, watch Michael Jackson’s Top 10 Video Countdown -- 90 minutes of Michael Jackson's most popular videos, determined by their popularity on mtv.com. Plus, get facts and trivia about each video and rare interview footage of Michael discussing his singles.

At 2pm, MTV presents the world premiere of Michael Jackson’s Influence on Music -- an hour-long special featuring a collection of the top videos by the artists influenced by Michael Jackson -- from Justin Timberlake to Usher, and more, plus messages from artists remembering Michael Jackson and exclusive interviews about the impact Jackson had on their music and lives.

Finally, at 3pm watch a special reairing of America’s Best Dance Crew: Michael Jackson’s Thriller to see dance crews remember Michael by creating their own new dances set to Michael Jackson's classic Thriller album to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

+ Plus: Watch two seminal Michael Jackson videos from when MTV was just a baby:

Fabolous has a new video out. It's called "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere," it's from his much-Tweeted-about new album Loso's Way, and it features Keri Hilson and Ryan Leslie. Oh yeah: and it's boring. I mean, NOTHING HAPPENS.  The most excited I got was during the line "Somebody better tell 'em that we in this b+tch like an unborn baby" and at the gratuitous shot of Rick Ross' beard, but shots of Rick Ross' beard are like a dime a dozen.

The video takes place in a club. A club where NOTHING HAPPENS. No one even spills a drink. The opening quote about paparazzi at the beginning of the video suggests there might be some kind of high-speed chase or at least a theme or story arc. But no. Nothing. Happens. At all. If you want a continuous story arc, watch Fabolous' "Throw It In The Bag." No story here though. In fact, it kinda looks like it was shot on someone's cell phone. I'm sorry. I'm just being reasonable and honest with you. Like my last relationship, "Everything, Everday, Everywhere" goes nowhere and leaves me confused. Plus I'm annoyed with Fabolous because it should be "Every Day," not "Everyday."

Oh yeah, that is NOT Chris Brown in the video, okay? Chris Brown is BASKING in the unintentional success of the "Forever" wedding dance, okay? That is Trey Songz.

Okay. If you strictly only have like FOUR MINUTES to watch ONE video today, I'd say watch the "Young'n" video. Or Shakira's "She Wolf" video. Or watch "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere," and tell me if I'm missing the point. (Is there a point?)

What's better than one keyboard and a live drummer? About four keyboards and a live drummer. If you missed Passion Pit's live performance of "The Reeling" this past week on It's On With Alexa Chung because you were out "doing things" with your summer... things like "swimming" or "enjoying the outdoors," then it looks like we went ahead and did "indoor things" for you... like uploaded it to the Internet for your convenience. It's always all about you, isn't it. Typical.

Watch Passion Pit perform "The Reeling" off of their Manners album.

+ The feud between Mariah Carey and Eminem has just escalated to new levels. Now the rapper is threatening to release nude photos of the megastar, supposedly from when they were together. (US Magazine)

+ Jessica Simpson has a new reality show coming out on VH1 and she's got some people pretty pissed about her extravagant spending habits. (Pop Crunch)

+ Panic At The Disco have finally announced replacements for the two members who left the group earlier this month. (NME)

+ Leona Lewis is pulling out all the stops for her sophomore album due out this fall, working with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Ryan Tedder, Timbaland and more. (Rap-Up)

+ So the story is true: Michael Jackson did get busy with some Norwegian girl and had a son who is now 25 years old. (Socialite Life)

+ Buzzcrush David Archuleta recently covered Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly" and it sounds simply divine. (Neon Limelight)

Actually, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Lindsay Lohan in a Police shirt isn't ironic. Maybe it's actually completely perfect. As perfect as Kid Rock launching his own beer. Or Kevin Federline finally letting himself go to the point where he looks like he ate three of his former selves. Or Madonna getting a gig as the poster girl for Muscle Milk. (Give it two weeks.)

Given her criminal record, I'm assuming Lindsay Lohan Police shirt has little to do with the band and more to do with law enforcement and the LAPD. Although, she hasn't had an arrest warrant out since March 2009 (W2G, Linds), with Lindsay, there are often legal woes looming. Also, she should've been arrested for that Fornarina commercial.

Anyway, if you're into Lindsay's retro-nuevo vintage-style Police shirt, it's by Public Library, and it's $48 at Singer22.com.

I feel pretty bad for Ciara, Rihanna, and Beyonce right now. I thought Ciara and Justin Timberlake in Ciara's "Love, Sex, Magic" video was hotter than hell. Then Rihanna was tipped the sexy scale in that little black naughty number in Kanye's "Paranoid" video. When Beyonce busted out her "Sweet Dreams" video, I was like, okay, we're done. We're done here. What's gonna get hotter than Beyonce jiggling in a jumpsuit? But Shakira, you did dat with the Brigitte Bardot hair and the... the no clothes basically in your new "She Wolf" video.

Honestly, I have NO clue what wolves in the closet means (lost in translation?), and Shakira still sorta sounds like she swallowed Kermit The Frog after he swallowed a bag of Auto-Tune chips.

But the Jake Nava-directed video (he directed Britney's "If U Seek Amy" and Beyonce's "Single Ladies" videos) is so hot that the next lady who wants to make a sexy video is pretty gonna have to take off her pants and just film her crotch the entire time. Oh wait...

Watch Shakira's "She Wolf," shower, repeat.

HUGE Alexa Chung day today! Adam Sandler and Leslie Mann, the GLOWING and radiant Nelly Furtado -- watch her brand-new "Manos Al Aire" video here if you haven't yet -- a live Passion Pit performance, and Michelle Collins talking about nips! You can't BUY that kind of good, American entertainment with actual money. Anyway, here's what Alexa wore today.

Thursday, July 30
+ Sweater: J. Crew
+ Jeans: Topshop
+ Heels: Marni
+ Necklace: J. Crew

A great grey V-neck sweater is a wardrobe staple, but you know what also should be a wardrobe staple? This SWEET vampire-inspired grey Topshop sweater designed by German designer Markus Lupfer (Madonna and Gwen Stefani are fans). It's sooo delightfully Rocky Horror/ Twilight-meet-Rolling Stones, and it's $170 at Topshop.com.

And check out Forever 21's black Deco-inspired bib necklace. It's just $6.80, which is like less than one of those huge Jamba Juices.

Jack's Mannequin's "Swim," off The Glass Passenger, is a cold-water shock of an anthem about keeping your grasping hope tightly, pulling it toward you, and not letting it go in spite of personal demons. "Swim" is a lifeboat and a life jacket guiding you back to the shore, even if the shore's still away from the light at the end of the tunnel.

The first version of the "Swim" video was a performance piece. But recently Jack's Mannequin released a brand-new "Swim" video, which features friends and fans of all ages, and moving montages of art and animations, all centered on the concept of hope and healing expressed in "Swim."

"Swim" part two was directed by Steven Murashige. Get your high-brow culture fix for the day and watch it, and then check out behind-the-scenes footage from the video and interviews with Andrew McMahon after the jump.

Big news out of camp VMA 2009! Two new performers were just added to the 2009 VMA lineup today -- Green Day AND Pink!

Pink blew up the 2008 VMAs -- literally -- with her fiery performance of "So What" -- and while I hope she doesn't burn down Radio City this year, she'll definitely bring down the house with whichever song she performs off of Funhouse.

Green Day, who've been blowing minds on tour this summer, will perform a song off of their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown. It'll be their first VMA performance since 2005.

Also on the 2009 VMA bill -- Taylor Swift and Muse!

But don't tune in just for the performances! (That'd be like watching MTV just for the videos.) 2009 VMA presenters/ pretty people will include Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, and Chace Crawford. And you know you wanna see which hat Ne-Yo's gonna wear, and if Katy Perry will make her entrance in a giant sparkly bowl of fruit. It could happen.

Watch Pink perform "So What" at the 2008 VMAs, and tune in to the 2009 VMAs live from New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, September 13, 2009.

+ Kanye West helped himself to a tall glass of crazy, recently proclaiming himself as the new King of Pop. (Bitten & Bound)

+ Miley Cyrus is making a Twitter MESS of herself, tweeting this and that about love and missing people. Close up shop, lady. Close. Up. Shop! (Anything Hollywood)

+ Lily Allen is starting up her own jewelry line? Exactly what we needed. (Holy Moly!)
