Today, Alexa's friend Kelly Osbourne stopped by and admonished an audience member for hooking up with a guy who's already got a girlfriend (you tell 'em, Kelly!), Ugly Betty's sweet little Mark Indelicato stopped by, and Metric (!!!) performed live. Oh! And Alexa hopped into a tub! But most importantly, here's what Alexa wore today on It's On With Alexa Chung.

Tuesday, July 14
+ Dress:
Vintage.
+ Shoes: Luella.

The mini dress Alexa wore today is vintage, which means you're never getting it. But she's a fan of both long-sleeved mini dresses and Alexander Wang. And looky what I found. It's doesn't have mini flowers, but being as picky as you are will get you nowhere. Anyway, I will stalk this Alexander Wang black long-sleeved mini dress until the day it goes on sale for $20. Which will be never. It's $550 at Shopbop.com.

And check out this simple criss-cross back black dress. It's $49.99 from Jane's Closet.

Can you even with these chunky-heeled Vince Camuto Mary Janes? They're $91 at Zappos.com.

But if you're buying, I'd also swoop in on these stiletto-heeled double-strapped patent leather Mary Janes by Carvela.

Also, if you're in the market for a super pointy-shouldered jacket like Kelly Osbourne's, check out Mexican design duo Teamo's wares:

Lastly, here's Metric performance of "Help, I'm Alive" from today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung.

+ and no, we don't mean the 90's band Crazy Town, though that would be amazing. MTV just announced (much to Jordin Sparks' dismay) that they are bringing back hair monster Russell Brand as their host for the 2009 VMAs. (MTV)

+ ...and Taylor Swift will join Muse as slated performers at the big show, which returns to New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, September 13th at 9pm ET. (MTV News)

+ Speaking of sex, drugs, and stuff, Panic! At The Disco's Ryan Ross had absolutely NO idea that a big plate of chopped-up coke was sitting on the coffee table when he was getting his picture taken with some friends. Honestly! He was just sleeping on the couch and woke up and THERE IT WAS! Right. More like, he never went to bed and THERE IT WAS! Still sitting there from the night before!! (MTV News)

+ Just days before the U.S. premiere of the new Harry Potter movie, star Daniel Radcliffe gives a surprisingly candid (and hilarious) interview about being gay, showing his manhood on stage, and having an affair with Madonna (??). (Moviefone)

+ Amy Winehouse is back in the U.K., stepping out wearing a cute doggie sweater and a fresh set of tracks (that's hair, people. The heroin tracks are covered up by the long-sleeved doggie sweater). (Webster's Is My Bitch)

Fire up that can of Aqua-Net and sharpen your blackest eyeliner pencils! Russell Brand is returning to host the 2009 MTV VMAs in New York City. And if the Jonas Brothers can handle it, then so can you. Oh, I know, I know. The actor/ author/ comedian/ hair artist was so controversial and said such shocking things when he hosted the 2008 VMAs last year. And you know what? THEY RULED. That's why they're called the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS and not the BORING AWARDS. If you wanna watch Billy Crystal tap dance, then change the channel... BUT DON'T! Because you'd miss live performances by Taylor Swift, who'll be doing a brand-new version of "You Belong With Me," and British rockers Muse, (ahem, Twilight fans), who will perform "Uprising."

Get out your cell phones, advent calendars, or whatever you use to mark the passage of time, and SAVE THE DATE for the 2009 MTV VMAs: Sunday, September 13 at 9PM ET.

Plus: Watch Britney open last year's VMAs.

Take heart, adolescent males of the world with Jonas-level aspirations -- especially the ones with great hair and some dance moves -- for your boy band dreams could be just "one call" away... as long as that "one call" comes from managing magnate Johnny Wright. Boy band One Call is Wright's latest assembly/musical endeavor, although the gig wasn't dealt out Prize Patrol-style: The four guys of One Call have performing in their bloodstreams; some are even boy band veterans, but we'll get to that. Here's your five-point debriefing on all things One Call:

They're Joining The Britney Circus
Don't feel too out of the loop if One Call isn't on your radar (so proud of my Britney references -- stick 'em in whenever I can); they've been in pseudo-stealth mode. Wright's phone's been on silent! Get to know them soon, though: The guys will join Ciara and Kristinia DeBarge as openers for the first nine shows of the North American leg of Britney Spears' The Circus tour.

I respect the small venue circuit, but just to give you a sense: From one concert to the next, One Call will go from the Quick Chek Balloon Festival in Jersey to the Copps Coliseum in Ontario (a modest 17,000 seats) and then on to Madison Square Garden. Hmm... Movin' on up!

If Some of Them Look Familiar, It's Because You've Seen Them Before
That's right, you may recognize cute little frosty-tips, a.k.a. Justin Thorne, from the short-lived boy band NLT (who I totally liked, I have to say); two others -- Chris Moy and José Bordonada Collazo -- are vets from the new Menudo (managed by Wright) and, as such, Making Menudo; and wild card AG Gamlieli rounds out the bunch. Overall, it's kind of a boy band all-stars moment Mr. Wright has created.

Experience Plus Major Producers? Looks Promising...
I'm sure this is written in several textbooks, but Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins makes music magic; and the master has already produced two of One Call's tracks, "Them Girls" and "Symphony." Just a refresher, Darkchild is behind "When I Grow Up," "Lose My Breath" and "Feedback" -- as well as classics "It's Not Right, But It's Okay," "If You Had My Love" and "The Boy Is Mine." Respect!

+ We hate to say it, but Perez Hilton has a pretty good ear for up-and-coming music, so much so that he's getting his own record label. Yikes. (The Tripwire)

+ FINALLY some good news today... Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have broken up. The kicker is that it was because Tony didn't want to dress up as Ken doll for a "Barbie & Ken"-themed party. Wonder who gets to keep the Dream House?  (Pink Is The New Blog)

+ Like her or not, lady is getting paid: Lauren Conrad just topped the NY Times' Best Seller's List! (StarPulse)

+ It's nice to see all the American Idol kids sticking together in spite of all the anti-gay protesters that are showing up outside their concerts (bashing Adam Lambert). (Popnography)

+ Lady Gaga made history this week, as she is only the third artist EVER to have three songs on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. (Perez Hilton)

+ This weekend, Lindsay Lohan threw herself at 2008 MTV VMA host Russell Brand and surprisingly enough, the self-proclaimed sex addict said "NO!" (The Superficial)

If you work at the AOL campus in Dulles, Virginia, and you skipped work today, then you picked the worst day ever to call in fake-sick. Because today the JONAS BROTHERS came to AOL today and played a game of charity softball.

If you've been following the Jonas Brothers on YouTube, Twitter or MySpace, you KNOW how serious they and their band and road crew are about softball (and wiffleball). And they're also serious about giving back. And today they did both: As part of the AOL-Jonas Brothers celebrity softball game, AOL donated $100 to the Change for the Children Foundation for every home run scored. Jonas Brothers and friends, known on tour as the Road Dogs crushed AOL's All-stars 15-13, raising $2,900 for Change for the Children.

Above is a photo that friend of mine who works at AOL snapped of Kevin Jonas, playing outfield. And below is a photo of the Road Dogs and a visibly battered Joe Jonas (!!!), who Tweeted that he got hit by a ball and will be fine, ladies.

In addition to schmoozing with the pocket-sized Arden Myrin, hanging out with Sean Kingston -- who gave her a necklace the size of her couch-- and discussing kissing boys with A. Dick -- ANDY Dick, you guys -- here's what Alexa Chung wore on today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung.

Monday, July 13
Top: Her own Dazed And Confused t-shirt.
Shorts: Levi's.
Shoes: Topshop.

I went a leeeeeettle overboard on my hunt for blue ballet flats, so take your pick, okay? These mint APC ballet flats are beyond. They're $218.40 at Refinery29.com.

... Or, if you're like "BUT I INSIST UPON ANKLE SUPPORT," check out See By Chloe's blue flats. They're $227.50 at Bloomingdales.com.

These blue polka dot Nadia Grilli bow flats are pure joy. Not joyous -- they're not in my size. Maybe they're your size? AND They're only $30 at Yoox.com.

You're overwhelmed by the blue shoe selection? Seriously? They're just shoes. It's okay. But, here's something more simple: American Eagle blue suede flats. $29.50. Grab 'em and go.

Finally, what better way to sneer at the tourists crowding up your favorite beach (or city!) than with this bratty Sophomore t-shirt that says YOU GOT HERE FIRST! It's $70 at CreatureofComfort.us.

Earlier today I wondered, rather aloud, whether it was okay to like Rob Thomas. Conveniently, my friend over at VH1 magically heard my public query and provided an answer in the form of this hilarious man-on-the-street video with Rob Thomas, who patiently sat in Times Square, read a book about poop, and allowed complete and utter strangers to ask him questions about absolutely anything.

Not only is Rob Thomas obviously quite cool and the type of guy who doesn't take himself too seriously (hi, Lady Gaga!), but he's also a lawn chair philosopher. If I drank beer, I would totally have a beer with Rob Thomas, and I am sorry I EVER wondered (aloud) if it's cool to like him, because the answer is obviously YES.

See for yourself:

UPDATE: Here's why it's totally acceptable to like Rob Thomas!

Rob Thomas is one of those musical mysteries wrapped in an enigma: In many ways he seems like an unremarkable anti-rock Everydude. An overgrown frat boy who REALLY REALLY REALLY likes to talk about weed even though he's past the age where it's appropriate to talk about weed use and it just becomes embarrassing to witness. But he's also a MASSIVE rock star who probably doesn't have to work another day in his life.

Most of the time, I'm pretty confident that Rob Thomas' music falls squarely into the genre of Mom Rock, but other times I'll pretty much bawl my brains if I hear "If You're Gone." And if I go home and visit my parents, and I'm driving around and "Smooth" comes on the radio (and "Smooth" always comes on the radio), I will crank that ish to deafening levels and squeal along.

CLEARLY Rob Thomas is doing something right, as he and matchbox twenty have sold about a bazillion albums, he's got white-boy soul in spades, sometimes in secret I find him attractive, and he seems like a really down-to-earth guy who's able to laugh at himself. (And he supports charities and organizations I care about, which is cool.) So, I ask you, is it okay to like Rob Thomas? If you're not a mom?

+ Watch Rob Thomas' new video, "Her Diamonds," and, after the jump, watch his live performance of "Her Diamonds" from on It's On With Alexa Chung, and tell me if it's okay to like him. Okay?

Maybe it's because "Disturbia" is my all-time favorite Rihanna song or because we're all feeling nostalgic for Michael Jackson classics and "Thriller" is the all-time greatest video ever, but Topshop's scarifiying "Eek" t-shirt scares up allusions to zombies and other creepy, crawly things that go bump in the night. And hot vampires, speaking of New Moon. (Eek! You could so wear this to the New Moon premiere!)

In red and black, Topshop's "Eek" top is not only a great '80s throwback, but it's also a nice alternative to the fun but slightly blinding neon trend that's hit the summer like the swine flu.

Get it for $36 at Topshop.com.
