Though we originally threw the name Jessie James your way as a new opener when we found out she was opening for the Jonas Brothers (and we/I already made the requisite Wild West jokes), watch Jessie's MTV.com Discover & Download video interview below, and you'll find out why this Southern army brat has got all the goods of an artist on the rise.
I will say I find most people still don't know who she is, but I've heard Jessie's debut single "Wanted" several times on the radio, so give her free download of "Wanted" a listen and watch the video after the jump; you may be more familiar with her twang-y belts than you thought.
As you'll find out, Jessie has as a solid musical POV for a young artist: Her country-pop tracks are an unabashed good time, but she also wrote most of the songs on her album; in addition, she will only sing live and pretty much boycotts Voguing. (Now don't say things you can't take back, Jessie -- never in your whole career?)
If I, or her picture, haven't convinced you to watch by now, you will want to see the photos someone at MTV dug up of Jessie for the end of her segment. (Hey, Jessie opened the "Southern girls are crazy" door; we needed an illustration.)
