The boys in Holy Ghost! are in a Human League all to themselves. Their sumptuous electro-pop records will fit nicely next to your Pet Shop Boys, Soft Cell and, yes Human League classics. And they wouldn't have it any other way.
In this new episode of "The 5," Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser talk about their fetish for things past: analog synths, vinyl records, and music from the '70s and '80s. It's not all record/gadget nerd talk though; find out how these star-crossed New Yorkers--one a basketball enthusiast, the other a skate rat--became the toast of the hipster club scene. Plus, watch their "I Will Come Back" video.

Despite being in various states of consciousness, from unconscious (singer Bert McCracken) to punchy (the rest of the band), the boys from The Used submitted to that most grueling of inquisitions for the MTV Buzzworthy Blog, answering some of your most pressing and pertinent questions.
In this exclusive Buzzworthy Blog interview, The Used dives into the behind-the-scenes changes that took place during the making of their new album. Artwork, and The Used also divulges their... um... favorite websites. Bert McCracken also declares that God is actually not an old white man in heaven (take THAT, Glenn Beck) and that he'd do dirty things to Joe Jonas. Fun for the whole family!
Watch Part 1, and check back soon for Part 2 of The Used's Buzzworthy fan interview.

Directed by famed rap-vid auteur Chris Robinson (Busta Rhymes, Alicia Keys, Nas), baby-faced R&B crooner Mario's clip for "Break Up," off his album, D.N.A., starts out normally enough: a Gucci Mane guest verse comparing the emotional wreckage of a break-up to public bus schedules, some tooling around in nice whips on abandoned sets from The Wire, etc. But midway through "Break Up," things get Fosse-tastic, with a startling interpretive dance number set in a living room. From there it's the same old ur-dumped song and dance; our star holding a "Dear, Mario" letter, while his ex-girl is on to the next guy (in this case R&B singer and apparent amateur boxer Sean Garrett).
One thing's for sure: Mario's breakup is modern dance's loss. Those two had some choreographed chemistry. Watch yourself, Beyonce.

Whenever Bryan "Birdman" Williams (AKA Baby) removes himself from his post behind his desk at Cash Money HQ, stops counting his Lil Wayne money, and decides to pick up the mic, it is a truly blessed occasion. Who among us didn't feel a small stirring in their soul the first time they heard the line, "Brrrrrrrrr"?
The video for Baby's "Written On Her," off of his Pricele$$ album, starts out like some kind of spy flick (The Birdman Ultimatum?), with the Cash Money CEO pushing a fine automobile through the London fog, while surveillance cameras follow his every move. Once the club beat kicks in, we return to our regularly scheduled programming, with Birdman incorporating some local Brit flavor in the form of R&B singer Jay Sean.

I hope you ordered heavy-on-the-"whoas," with extra Ryan Cabrera hair, because that's what's on the menu in Push Play's new video, "Midnight Romeo." For the Long Island group's upcoming Found album, lead singer CJ Baran offers... well, I'm not going to call it a "serenade," despite the "Midnight Romeo" title. Why? "Tonight your dinner's free; what's in it for me?" hardly qualifies as "sweet nothings." By the way, Push Play's touring with Jessie James throughout October, so hopefully she'll keep 'em in line.
"Midnight Romeo" takes the garage band, and moves it up to the attic -- an attic that houses none other than Emily Osment, a.k.a. Lilly Truscott from Hannah Montana. The video's also directed by Roman White, who's behind Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me," (... oh yeah, that video), as well as some Carrie Underwood classics like "Before He Cheats." White also directed Osment's video for her upcoming All The Right Wrongs album.

Quietly making a name for themselves since 2004, the sweethearts in Vedera have been accruing buzz the old-fashioned way: one show at a time. But being dedicated road warriors is not without its pitfalls, as this Kansas City quartet can attest to. In this edition of "The 5," singer/guitarist/pianist Kristin May talks about how her minor fender bender led to a jurisdictional dispute between Kansas and Missouri highway patrols. While guitarist Brian Little remembers a time the band's fought some black ice and the black ice won.
Fans may have heard Vedera's melancholy, piano-driven pop soundtrack the emotional car crashes (as well as the eye-rolling, sighing and crying) of Heidi, Audrina, Lo and the rest of The Hills gals. Hear what the band has to say about songs from their Stages albums being heavily featured on the show. And listen for more Vedera on Season 6 of The Hills.

I know DJ David Guetta is married with two kids and everything, but he just exudes "I get some every time I turn my head" out of every wonderfully Euro-trash pore. I even called this/made it up before his new "Sexy Chick" video, in which Guetta's "performance" consists of circling a pool party, smiling and receiving countless kisses from chicks in bikinis. If I had this on mute, I'd think I was watching a Wham video. A Wham video with Akon.
Anyway, with vocals by Akon, "Sexy Chick" is the second single from DJ Guetta's One Love album; the first single was, of course, the no-club-is-safe number "When Love Takes Over," featuring Ms. Kelly Rowland. If it's possible, "Sexy Chick" is even more club-ready than the Kelly re-inventer (a more vivid diagram of cavernous clubs, lasers, and glow sticks there never was).
And while he's loving him some Euro rave insanity, Akon keeps the "Sexy Chick" lyrics pretty clean to avoid disrespecting said "chick" and likening her to a whore. Awww! Whatta gent!

Classic conundrum for celebrities engaged in social networking -- how do you find the time to stay relevant AND engage in social networking? But PAY ATTENTION, celebrities. New Boyz, the makers of "You're A Jerk" -- which had us busting out our skinny jeans back in June 2009 before they dropped their brand-new album, Skinny Jeanz & A Mic -- learned to make their own beats (thanks, YouTube!), now they're leading the Jerkin' movement, shopping for hats and skinny jeans, AND THEY STILL FIND TIME TO TWEET! And hustle for a Skittles and/or a New Era endorsement.
Watch New Boyz discuss five things you need to know about them. Then go watch the "You're A Jerk" video again, because it never gets old. And of course, follow New Boyz on Twitter.
