In this new edition of "The 5," the ubiquitous (at least on these blog shores) LIGHTS tells us a few things we never would've known about her, had she not hipped us to them.

Not only is LIGHTS an accomplished songwriter/singer/producer, she also enjoys taking a blade to undead images (or whatever) while playing the popular World of Warcraft game. When LIGHTS was little a tuberculosis shot gone wrong left her with a nasty scar on her arm. So thank the heavens she got into the fantasy role playing game; it gave her a reason to cover up her tat with a dope knife tattoo.

Otherwise, LIGHTS calls boars the worst "invention" and recalls the time she basically found herself at a boar convention at a zoo. Bummer. She also discusses making pop-up books and how the first song she ever produced sounded like something from the Thumbelina soundtrack.

Learn all you can about LIGHTS below, and be sure to check out her animated comic book adventures in the thrilling Audio Quest series.

50 Cent sure has changed his tune, hasn't he? Used to be, he just wanted to meet you in the club and do it. Then he just wanted to take you to the candy shop. Now he's ready to be your baby daddy! Hey, he's financially secure and can afford the kind of diamond-encrusted baby shoes that is the birthright of every infant. Of course, 50 Cent still really really really wants you to know how good he is at pleasin' you. Just because he's a dad doesn't mean he's not still totally into pleasing you. Don't get it twisted.

Watch the exclusive MTV sneak peek of 50 Cent's "Baby By Me" video, directed by Chris Robinson -- the hook and the video feature Kelly Rowland and Ne-Yo too. "Baby By Me" is produced by Polow Da Don, off 50's upcoming album, Before I Self-Destruct. If you're following that epic release-date saga, 50 Cent's next album SHOULD be released on November 23, 2009.

Well, hello there MTV Featured Artist of the Week, Kristinia DeBarge. How are things? Good, glad to hear it. Why yes, I have enjoyed the 80's-ish sugary pop of your debut album, Exposed! Thanks for asking!

I especially like your take on the Ryan Tedder-penned jam "Future Love." What's that you say? I should check out your live performance of said song in the video below? Great! And I should try not to be alarmed at the slightly creepy guys behind you dressed like a horror movie version of America's Best Dance Crew faves The Jabbawockeez? I will keep that in mind.

Oh and can you repeat that last thing? That while I'm at it I should dig into another live performance of your song "Sabotage"? What an embarrassment of riches. Thanks, Kristinia DeBarge!

It is a proven fact that Jessie James is a fan of Halloween. Just one look at her funny Halloween promos for MTV are enough to show you this is one gal that likes a good dress-up from time to time.

So here, in her new ultra-countrified video for her track, "My Cowboy," from her self-titled album, James throws on a high-waisted leather mini skirt and some black spiked heels because she is dressing up as a teacher and that is exactly what teachers dress like. Especially teachers in music videos. Got it?

"My Cowboy" is her how-to guide for how to become her particular farm hand. You gotta have manners, call her "baby" and tell her she's pretty. ("Yes, ma'am!") Okay, so I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that, but this looks like a pretty remedial level class, to be honest.

We hipped you to 3Oh!3's "Starstukk" video, featuring Katy Perry a little while back, so you should know the deal already: 3Oh!3 score a Katy Perry feature for this jam about a love that knows no name (because these dudes are not trying to know your name, they are trying to keep it real. Real casual, you know?).

"Starstrukk" is a whirlwind of imagery and emotion. Like a suburban version of LMFAO, 3Oh!3 get dumb by a magical wishing well, taking advantage of its power to draw women to those men with the foresight to pull said gals' pennies out of the water.

There's also some hysterical/stoopit sequences involving the boys eating sushi while mountain climbing and skeet shooting their own records. Also: Katy Perry singing in a fountain. All hail the genius of 3Oh!3.

With Halloween only a few more days away, it's time to get serious about being scary. In this edition of "Halloween Horrors," the Southern men of needtobreathe talk about Halloweens past. Matters of poor Ewok costume design are discussed, the concept of "filler candy" is broached, and a vote is taken on the matter of vampires vs. werewolves.

You can check out our earlier, less pumpkin-spiced chat with needtobreathe here, and you can watch all the Halloween Horrors your heart can handle here.

This new video for Buzzworthy heroes' We The Kings' song, "Heaven Can Wait" -- the first track from their Smile, Kid album -- is clearly a dream sequence. Now, there are no squiggly lines, there's no soft focus, and there's no eerie music. But anyone who's ever either accidentally flipped the channel to the Westminster Dog Show can attest: NOBODY THIS COOL IS EVER AT A DOG SHOW.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there's a whole underground circuit of hipster dog shows, with ironic farmers entering goats into competition and beautiful women watching the proceedings with bated breath. Maybe there's a New York TImes Sunday Styles trend piece on this very thing in the works right now.

But I still think it's a dream sequence.

Watch We The Kings "Heave Can Wait" video, directed by Nicholaus Goossen, who's worked with Adam Sandler and Nick Swardson -- you can hear him on "Gay Robot" (!!)

If you're ever in the fortunate position to play a board game against New Moon's Kellan Lutz, I have one piece of advice for you: Let. Him. Win... Or else.

In these exclusive interviews from the upcoming MTV special, "Ulalume: Howling At New Moon," which airs Friday, October 30 at 9 PM ET -- which features concert performances by Paramore, AFI, Dead by Sunrise featuring Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, and Kid Cudi -- Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene talk beating on-set boredom in Vancouver thanks to Kellan Lutz's endless supply of board games. Elizabeth Reaser assures us that everyone in the New Moon cast loves everyone, Jackson Rathbone plays harmonica (again), as well as another instrument you might not have known he could play and reassures you that no one in the cast of New Moon is an actual vampire.

More ways to look like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen besides being super skinny, wearing fur, clinging to Starbucks like your life depended on it, and dressing like Kate Hudson in Almost Famous. The Olsen sisters, who just last week became members of the Council of Fashion Designers (serious fashion biz!) signed a deal with J.C. Penney to launch Olsenboye, a junior line exclusive to J.C. Penney.

Olsenboye, which comes from MK and Ashley's ancestral name, will be available November 6, 2009 in stores and on jcp.com and will feature mix-and-match denim, tops and bottoms, dresses, skirts, shorts, jackets, handbags and shoes. Perhaps best of all, the sizes range from 0 to 15, and the prices points will range between $20 and $50. (Again, it's J.C. Penney, not Barneys.)

+ Check out photos of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsens' new line, Olsenboye. And, also, do you care?
