Another day, another new song from Lady Gaga's The Fame: Monster. We've already heard "Bad Romance," the first single from this souped-up reissue of Gaga's 2008 smash The Fame album. And yesterday "Dance In The Dark" trickled out. Both are up-tempo, ready-for-the-floor club smashes in waiting.
On "Alejandro," Gaga changes gears. A mid-tempo, lush paean to a love that's "hot like Mexico," it's more of a straightforward pop song from the girl who usually doesn't do anything in a straightforward fashion. Listen for lots of Abba allusions, including a straight-up "Fernando" reference, bowing to one of her influences.
+ Listen to Lady Gaga's "Alejandro." The Fame: Monster comes out November 23rd.
