How about a heaping pile of WTF to start your pre-turkey Tuesday? Here we have the return of the electro-dancehall mavens Major Lazer (better known to their friends and family as Diplo and Switch).
Major Lazer's video for "Hold The Line" was a spaghetti western/reggae rave-up, which featured animated zombies, demons and robots (oh my!).
But this new clip for "Keep It Goin' Louder" is on a whole other level. Directed by Eric Wareheim (from the mind-boggling Adult Swim show Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), this video features Nina Sky and some of the most disturbing face-morphing since the hallowed days of Aphex Twin and Chris Cunningham's "Come To Daddy."
Proceed with caution. This mind-blowing vid is technically safe for work, but I don't know how safe it is for life.

Let's hope so! Here's the Tokio Hotel frontman at the premiere of Arthur und die Minimoys 2 - Die Rueckkehr des Boesen M' (Arthur 2) -- he voiced the part of Arthur -- at Cinestar Sony Center movie theater in Berlin this weekend. And boy, does Bill got that purp!
Bill Kaulitz was resplendent in the royal color, an enormous (yet chic!) granny sweater, and platform wedges, which made us think perhaps he's making a not-so-subtle nod to the original Purple rocker, Prince.
And why not? Both Bill and Prince have a flamboyantly charismatic stage presence, as well as a penchant for gravity-defying hair and sparkles. And both Bill and Prince command undying support from an army of loyal followers.

As we mentioned earlier today (while discussing her neck tattoo), Rihanna's Rated R is, generally, a pretty gloomy affair. Rainy days, cloudy skies; pure pain, a lot of ballads, and slow, creeping beats.
So it should come as no great surprise that, despite the star power involved, "Hole In My Head," a collaboration between Rihanna and Justin Timberlake, was relegated to bonus-track-status (and not even, U.S. bonus track...it's U.K.-only!).
Unlike Rihanna and Justin Timberlake's first collabo, "Rehab," "Hole In My Head" is a jumping, jittery song, reminiscent of Justin's Futuresex/Lovesound or Timbaland's "The Way I Are." It's a fun, dance-y, Pussycat Dolls-leaning number, but it would have stuck out on the moody Rated R.
+ Listen to Rihanna featuring Justin Timberlake, "Hole In My Head."

From an outsider's perspective, it's easy to say what should and shouldn't matter to a pop star. We note the awards, special performances and chart positions. But what matters to the star, themselves? We posed this very question to the incomparable Lady Gaga.
In this very special Spankin' New Music Week edition of "The 5," as The Fame: Monster is finally officially released, Lady Gaga takes us through the five most amazing moments in her career. It's a deeply personal list that touches on the socio-political causes that are close to her heart (marching on Washington, D.C. for gay rights) as well as the small, personal pleasure of having her little sister dress up as her for Halloween.
Watch Gaga explain her top five career highlights in this exclusive MTV Buzzworthy Blog video, and get an up-close-and-personal look at the human side of Lady Gaga.
Did you know that Rihanna's new album, Rated R, is out today? No? Well Rihanna herself would like to remind you with a helpful piece of tattoo-as-album advertisement.
Rihanna rocked the temporary tattoo at last night's American Music Awards. In truth, it was probably the most subtle part of her performance, which included her being twirled around in some kind of S&M-style carousel while wearing nothing but a series of white straps, and then doing a a metallic-tinged "Hard" (which, sadly, did not feature an appearance from Young Jeezy like it does on record.)
The tattoo was added between the time Rihanna hit the red carpet and the stage (see before and after pics above). Perhaps she thought it just went with the light-up studded shoulder pads?
Rated R, which the tattoo so suggestively reminds us about, Rated R, is a gutsy, dark turn from the pop princess; full of atmospheric, smoked-out tracks and, at times, nearly-gothic vocals.
Had no idea Rihanna could get that dark? Watch her "Russian Roulette" video.

Beyond the awesome bloody outfits, mind-boggling creepy videos like "Bad Romance," and hypnotically catchy songs ("Alejandro" = #stuckinheadfordays), Lady Gaga ALWAYS gives good face. It's one thing to hit your mark, kill the choreo, not bust a note, and set the stage ablaze, but Gaga's also the queen of follow-through, selling her show right down to her scary-ass stare.
Case in point: Gaga's awesome, wide-eyed, maniacal, soul-eater expression at the end of last night's American Music Awards performance, which she closed out by setting her piano on fire.
I'm pretty sure this is my favorite Gaga face ever.

Happy birthday, Miley! 17 rules. Oh, also I heard you had an awesome girls-just-wanna-have-fun-style '80s birthday party in the U.SA. -- specially an '80s party right here in New York City. Guess my invite got lost in the mail. Anyway, hope you get everything a girl born Destiny Hope could have coming her way.
Oh wait, what would I get Miley Cyrus for her birthday? Even though I didn't get invited to her birthday party? Well for starters, I think it's time for Miley to FINALLY get into Twilight. So I'd get her Twilight. And maybe also a vampire t-shirt.
Then, I'd get Miley a Jay-Z CD ... probably The Blueprint 3. And I'd encourage Miley to watch this Jay-Z mash-up video of all of his album covers. A growing girl needs to expand her musical horizons!

Spankin' New Music Week is coming to MTV November 23 through 27. It's a celebration of five new mega-albums that are all being released in one big mega-week.
Lady Gaga's dropping The Fame Monster Limited Edition, which if you're sharp enough you've already heard The Fame: Monster on MTV's The Leak (a whole week early!). Rihanna's Rated R also hits on Monday and you've already seen new videos for "Russian Roulette," and "Wait Your Turn." Meanwhile, Shakira's long-awaited, hotly anticipated She Wolf album drops next week.
Beyonce has the Deluxe Edition of I Am, and on Tuesday, Britney's releasing the Deluxe Box Edition of The Singles Collection.
So what's in store? We have interviews with Gaga, Shakira and Rihanna, MTV News sat down with some of the girls as well, and we'll have performances, videos, and more. It's an unofficial "ladies week," but because we're not biased we're not forgetting that 50 Cent also recently dropped his fourth LP, Before I Self Destruct and we sat down and talked to him too.
Check in next week for more Spankin' New stuff on MTV, and, until then, watch Rihanna's "Wait Your Turn" video

In today's Buzzworthy Blog fan Q&A with Tokio Hotel, Tokio Hotel's asked how they deal with a broken heart, while Bill Kaulitz matter-of-factly points out that the upside to not having found true love is not having his heart broken! You'll also find out which member of Tokio Hotel is the biggest heartbreaker (if you couldn't already guess), plus, Tokio Hotel tells you about the prospects of a Bill-and-Tom-Kaulitz twin collabo fashion line. Because dreams can come true.

Here's something pretty special, if we do say so ourselves. It's Death Cab For Cutie's live performance of their New Moon soundtrack single, "Meet Me On The Equinox" from the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards!
Introduced by David Cross -- one of the many bearded bros at the Woodie Awards -- Death Cab plows through the song as if it'd been a staple of their live sets for years. I wonder if guitarist Chris Walla was thinking about his favorite Twilight character (Bella's dad!) while he was jamming away there.
Watch the 2009 mtvU Woodies Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. ET on mtvU, MTV, MTV2, and Palladia.
