Diane Birch's seductive, soulful folk-rock is reminiscent of Cat Power, Laura Nyro and Norah Jones. It's lovely, subtle, soothing and atmospheric. Which is exactly how I'd describe this awesome video for her song, "Nothing But A Miracle."
This hyper-stylized clip, directed by Moh Azima (auteur behind several Hold Steady videos, as well as clips for Chromeo and Taproot) breaks down the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance) that come after a breakup.
Watch Birch, who shares a label with We The Kings, go through the motions like a scorned lady of the canyon (cutting up clothes, cutely moping), and check her out on tour with none other than Nick Jonas & The Administration.
