Tuesday saw a veritable Nor'easter of hip-hop releases to nod your head to: Gucci Mane, The Clipse, Snoop Dogg and Timbaland. But the Rap Factory never stops, so let's all get hip to some more hot-off-the-Internets jams.
First up, a remix of Gucci Mane's "Danger's Not A Stranger" by Major Lazer mastermind/producer/superstar DJ Diplo. This is the first we're hearing from a planned remix project wherein Diplo and other artists will be re-imagining Gucci Mane's epic Cold War mixtape series (titled, hilariously, Guccimerica, Brrrussia and Great Brrrittain).
Diplo replaces the dark electro of the original with some piano and synths that wouldn't sound out of place on a Mike & The Mechanics song.
Next, we have some brand-spanking new Eminem for you. "Drop A Bomb On 'Em" is classic Shady. Riding what sounds a lot like the production handiwork of Dr. Dre, Em spits with a Jamaican accent for a few bars before threatening to send a bomb to his mom's lawyer. Same Marshall, same sunny disposition. "Drop A Bomb On 'Em" is taken from the Relapse sequel, Refill, due December 21st.
+Listen to Gucci Mane, "Dangers Not A Stranger (Diplo Remix)" and Eminem's "Drop A Bomb On 'Em."
... And relive Major Lazer's amazing "Keep It Goin' Louder" video:
