Meet Jordan Witzigreuter, the one man behind the one-man band The Ready Set; the latest sound to catch the ear Pete Wentz, so much so that he signed The Ready Set to his Decaydance Records imprint.
The Ready Set are a dizzying amalgamation of sounds. Witzigreuter lists some of his influences as space-rock-meets-soul singer Kenna, as well as Daft Punk and Kanye West. And you can certainly hear the atmospheric pop, dance rhythms and shades of hip-hop in songs like "Giants" and "World Owes Nothing" from his Tantrum Castle album, released earlier this year.
To get a feel for The Ready Set head over to their MySpace check out a new song called "The Blizzard of '89," which features Never Shout Never's Christofer Drew.
