Another appetizer from Lil Wayne's forthcoming Rebirth album (the rock-flavored follow up to Weezy's The Carter III).
"Drop The World" is pretty gritty, sparse stuff coming from Wayne and his partner in rhyme, Eminem. This collaboration unites two of the most influential artists of the decade, with Eminem (starting with the Marshall Mathers LP through 2004's Encore) running the early '00s, and Wayne topping the latter part of the decade with his countless mixtapes and The Carter albums.
While "Drop The World" doesn't meet the expectations, given the talent involved, it is a compelling listen. It features barbed rants from both MCs about the privileges and pitfalls that come with success. Check it out for yourself (but beware: it's NSFW!)
