Rocking some real Yahoo Serious hair (whoa, 1988 reference -- look it up), Justin Pierre and the boys from the Minneapolis emo-punk clique Motion City Soundtrack get scurrred (whoa, spelling things like Nelly -- look him up) in their video for "Disappear," the first single from their new My Dinosaur Life album.
The unnerving, Jesse Cain-directed clip follows a gal roaming around the sticks, rocking a panda mask (what?), who starts getting stalked by some rural beast. Turns out it's a head-banging mud monster (I hate those), who goes on to terrorize her and the rest of her nuclear family.
The tense, creepy tone goes well with Motion City Soundtrack's slightly different sound, one that could safely be described as '90s-style modern rock; a step away from their more poppy fare.
Motion City Soundtrack's My Dinosaur Life is out January 19th, 2010 and, FYI, it was produced by Blink-182's Mark Hoppus.
