Not only is Bat For Lashes' (Natasha Khan) lovesick love song an eerie, ethereal tale of gloom and doom (the best kind!), but the concept of "Daniel" (off of Bat for Lashes' second album, Two Suns) also centers around The Karate Kid as a postmodern amalgam of her teenage desires. That, together with her dreamy, doomsday vocals and haunting, harrowing orchestrations make "Daniel" the stuff of waking nightmares.
