As if you needed another reason to love Stephen Colbert... or Alicia Keys... Stephen Colbert stepped up to the mic last night on The Colbert Report and dropped some Jay-Z-worthy rhymes on top of Alicia Keys' performance of "Empire State of Mind Pt. II (Broken Down)."

Stephen Colbert, who rocked a righteous hoodie, dropped the following go-white-boy verses:

"Shoppin' mall is close, my community is gated/ My shorties are all private-school educated/ Home theater system, 60-inch plasma. Clean suburban air, much better for my asthma/ Still hit the city, Times Square, keep it real/ Hard Rock Cafe for the appetizer deal/ M&M Store, Disney Store, I'm in heaven/ I own this town from 41st to 47/ Take you to 'The Lion King,' that show is fantastic/ Leave half an hour early so I can beat the traffic/ I can get home really fast, driver rocks an E-Z Pass/ Land of cheaper gas and the upper middle class."

The year's almost over, but Stephen Colbert's Alicia Keys duet squeaks in at the tail-end of 2009 as one of the best collaborations of the year. (Besides Rihanna and Andy Samberg.)

Rocking some real Yahoo Serious hair (whoa, 1988 reference -- look it up), Justin Pierre and the boys from the Minneapolis emo-punk clique Motion City Soundtrack get scurrred (whoa, spelling things like Nelly -- look him up) in their video for "Disappear," the first single from their new My Dinosaur Life album.

The unnerving, Jesse Cain-directed clip follows a gal roaming around the sticks, rocking a panda mask (what?), who starts getting stalked by some rural beast. Turns out it's a head-banging mud monster (I hate those), who goes on to terrorize her and the rest of her nuclear family.

The tense, creepy tone goes well with Motion City Soundtrack's slightly different sound, one that could safely be described as '90s-style modern rock; a step away from their more poppy fare.

Motion City Soundtrack's My Dinosaur Life is out January 19th, 2010 and, FYI, it was produced by Blink-182's Mark Hoppus.

For all their brazen, avant-punk-disco-making and unabashed style, Gossip are really just a bunch of sweethearts from Arkansas.

The trio, led by voluble singer Beth Ditto, took time out of being fabulous and promoting their recent Music For Men album, to chat with us for this episode of "The 5."

Beth Ditto, while getting adorably distracted by drummer Hannah Blilie's earrings, talks about her hatred for unfunny rude people (like Kathy Griffin), and her appreciation for funny rude people (Janeane Garafalo).

Gossip also shares their affection for the films of John Waters, the food of T.G.I. Friday's, and accuses the Olive Garden of smelling like doodoo.

Get to know Gossip a lil' better with this episode of "The 5," and check out the video for their song "Heavy Cross," from Music For Men, below.

Okay, so apparently 1-800-FLOWERS is attempting to cash in on Bieber Mania (or Justin Bieber is attempting to cash in on the toll-free flower delivery "fad"), because for just $69.99, a handsome bouquet of 24 Justin Bieber-branded "One Less Lonely Girl" red roses with a not-unspecial Justin Bieber card can be delivered to the biggest Justin Bieber fan on your Christmas list. (Or, naturally, it can be delivered to you.) Ballers who can afford the Justin Bieber rose bouquet WITH silver vase can pop for the $89.99 package.

Of course, for $10 less you can order 24 "regular" red roses, but that doesn't come with a Justin Bieber card (which, if I did the math right, is valued at approximately $10!??), but, the downside is that it doesn't come with a Justin Bieber card.

Combining the aesthetic of Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" (but not the way Vampire Weekend did on "Cousins") and Post Secret (but not the way All-American Rejects did on "Dirty Little Secret"Never Shout Never's new video for "What Is Love?" (taken from the self-titled EP just released this month) is pretty darn snazzy.

Featuring a series of tracking shots tracking NSN's Christofer Drew and assorted other folks sitting in a sun-dappled park, the "What Is Love?" video shows what these lovestruck citizens are really thinking.

According to Drew's MySpace blog, the clip was shot in Connecticut by director Isaac Ravishankara, and took less than an hour to film. Very impressive!

The last time Britney and Candie's shoes teamed up for a campaign. we were treated to this psychedelic photo of a pink-themed Kentuck Derby Day set somewhere maybe in Narnia, co-starring Britney and a clearly confused horse. It was a shot Buzzfeed called one of the worst Photoshop jobs of the year.

Methinks this time will go a little smoother. Word hit the Internet today that Britney's new Candie's ads will be shot by none other than famed celeb portrait snapper Annie Leibovitz, who shot "those" scandalous photos of Miley Cyrus for Vanity Fair.

Leibovitz is currently having some financial issues, which may explain her willingness to shoot what, some might say, is a campaign slightly beneath her artistic pedigree. But hey! It's 2009. Who isn't having financial issues? And besides it's not like Leibovitz isn't famous for shooting the famous in the first place. Plus, the Candie's shoot could be dope.

According to Women's Wear Daily (via New York Magazine), Annie shot Britney in, "various states of undress." So we all have that to look forward to. The campaign is for Candie's Spring/Summer 2010 line, so look for it next year.

Another appetizer from Lil Wayne's forthcoming Rebirth album (the rock-flavored follow up to Weezy's The Carter III).

"Drop The World" is pretty gritty, sparse stuff coming from Wayne and his partner in rhyme, Eminem. This collaboration unites two of the most influential artists of the decade, with Eminem (starting with the Marshall Mathers LP through 2004's Encore) running the early '00s, and Wayne topping the latter part of the decade with his countless mixtapes and The Carter albums.

While "Drop The World" doesn't meet the expectations, given the talent involved, it is a compelling listen. It features barbed rants from both MCs about the privileges and pitfalls that come with success. Check it out for yourself (but beware: it's NSFW!)

Xylos are a pretty darling band from Brooklyn who make pretty darling music. Somewhere between the boy-girl indie of Broken Social Scene and the boy-girl classic rock of Fleetwood Mac, lies their utterly charming sound.

On their debut album, Bedrooms (released last year), vocalists Aaron Mendelsohn and Nikki Lancy sing songwriter Eric Zeiler's lyrics over buoyant, occasionally tropical soundscapes. Sometimes lovelorn, always intriguing, the tracks are artful depictions of life and love in the city.

To go deeper, check out these two Xylos videos from MTV Iggy. In the first clip, the band chats about the distinctive vibe that comes from having a co-ed band. In the next video, Xylos plays a great rendition of their song "Not Enough."

... Not like in the Brazilian/ manscaping way though, though I'm sure The Dids keeps his situation tidy. Diddy got himself all wax sculptured at Madame Tussauds in New York, where the new wax statue version of Diddy was just revealed. The wax version of Diddy mirrors the look of his "I Am King" fragrance ads, commercials, and packaging, and Diddy's wax figur is even wearing a replica of his white Battistoni dinner jacket, fancy  pants and Hugo Boss tux shirt, and baller black shoes by Ferragamo. Furthermore, Diddy "gifted" Madame Tussauds with a bottle of “I Am King." You know, so wax Diddy can smell like real Dids.
