In the grand tradition of electronic acts making videos featuring actors wearing full-body animal costumes -- a tradition which includes Daft Punk's "Da Funk" and The Bloodhound Gang's "The Bad Touch" and Kanye's "The New Workout Plan" -- let's take a gander at the rodent fury of Hadouken!'s not-to-be-slept-on "M.A.D." video.
Directed by Martyn Thomas, the clip follows a gold-chain wearing man dressed as a mouse as he storms around London, Richard-Ashcroft-style (see "Bittersweet Symphony"). There's some hooliganism, some harassing behavior and, eventually, a beatdown.
The mix of humor and aggression perfectly matches the London it-band's dance punk sound (sometimes referred to as grindie, or grime meets indie), as wild synth squelches and sloganeering soundtrack the scenes.
"M.A.D." is from Hadouken!'s second full-length, For The Masses, which is due out at the end of the month.
