Okay, so that's not entirely true. Aziz Ansari doesn't exactly trade verses with the hip-hop heavyweights. Instead, he calls them out on being tardy to the party for the one, the only... Raaaaaaaandy. See, Raaaaaaaandy (yeah, he's rocking eight a's), is Aziz's self-centered, foul-mouthed, DJ-obsessed, stand-up alter-ego who has earned himself quite the loyal following. You might recognize his rants from the 2009 comedy Funny People, directed by Judd Apatow, or perhaps Aziz's recent hour-long Comedy Central special Intimate Moments For A Sensual Evening.
Regardless, Raaaaaaaandy is all about spitting rhymes—and talking sh+t, as heard on "AAAAAAAANGRY (With Eight A's)", a new track produced by TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek.
In the cut, Raaaaaaaandy is pissed that a bunch of rappers—including everyone from Kid Cudi to Kanye West, Ludacris to Mos Def—were sent beats for his upcoming mixtape but are taking their own sweet time to send back verses. As Stephanie Tanner would say, "How rude!"
Here's a sample tirade: "Ludacris, where are your verses? I bought a jar of mayonnaise whenever we sent you the beats and now that sh+t's expired! You're slower than mayonnaise."
Oooh, burn! Wonder how Luda's going to respond to that.
