Florida emo-rockers We The Kings are still on the way up fame's fickle ladder, so they probably don't have to deal with too many photographers stalking their every move and constantly sticking flashbulbs in their faces—or have they?
The group recently took time out from touring behind their latest album Smile Kid, and performed an acoustic cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" for Billboard's Mash-Up Monday web feature. Using the simple arrangement of bongos and acoustic guitars, We The Kings get to the lovelorn-and-lonely heart of Gaga's tune, which is an aspect that often gets overlooked by the song's musical bells and whistles.
We The Kings singer Travis Clark also adds a layer of wistfulness to the somewhat creepy lyrics. In other words, this is a great take on a fantastic song. Check out the video below. Plus, for a bonus Gaga cover, prepare to be awed by Set Your Goals' kazoo-crazy take on "Just Dance."

After weeks of biting my nails (and probably swallowing an unhealthy amount of black nail polish in the process), Ke$ha has finally released her video for "Blah Blah Blah (Featuring 3OH!3)," otherwise known as the unofficial fight song for VH1's Tool Academy.
The clip features a scantily clad Ke$ha and a brood of equally sassy sistas fending off unwanted advances by a bevy of douchebags trying to pick up the girls in a bowling alley. Classy, huh?
Oh, and Ke$ha flies. No big deal.
Watch the video below and see for yourself.

+ A little while back, we talked about "Where's My Angel," Metro Station's contribution to Almost Alice, a collection of tracks inspired by Tim Burton's upcoming Alice In Wonderland. Check out this video of singer/guitarist Mason Musso and bandmate Trace Cyrus talking about the film, the song and throwing Hannah Montana—aka Cyrus' sis Miley—down the rabbit hole. (Buzznet)
+ This one should be called, "When an American Idol runner-up attacks!" Adam Lambert recently let his claws loose on Britain's Got Talent winner Susan Boyle when he told MTV News that Boyle's album is "terrible" and that her cover of The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses" made him cry "with laughter." Me-ow. (MTV News)
+ You've got Kim Yu-Na fever, I've got Kim Yu-Na fever, we've all got Kim Yu-Na fever! With women's figure skating in full flight, Idolator had the brilliant idea to super-impose your favorite pop stars' heads onto the skating phenom's body. Check out Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Jay-Z pulling off triple toe loops like it ain't no thing. (Idolator)
+ Frankie Muniz—the secret agent formerly known as Cody Banks—spent most of his young life acting in films, so what does he do for an encore? He does what most guys do in their early 20s: He starts a band. The Malcom In The Middle star is now drumming for the Arizona rock band You Hang Up. Read an interview with Muniz and hear some music here. (PopEater)
+ Stop making sense, indeed. Check out the Cyndi Lauper and Tori Amos duet "Why Don't You Love Me," taken from the new David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Fatboy Slim-penned musical Here Lies Love, which chronicles the life and times of politician and shoe maven Imelda Marcos (We Are Pop Slags)

When I first saw the preview for Takers a couple weeks ago, I immediately thought two things: 1.) Who keeps giving film roles to Hayden Christensen, and 2.) Where in the world is T.I. these days?
Sadly, I might never get the answer to my first question, but after the peeps at MTV News reported about T.I. making his first public appearance on Monday night, I can finally cross The Rubberband Man off my missing persons list and concentrate on locating the actor who played Richard "Boner" Stabone on Growing Pains.
T.I. arrived alongside fiancée Tameka "Tiny" Cottle at the Atlanta Opera to support the Tiny & Toya star's Alzheimer research fundraiser called "For The Love Of Our Fathers." T.I. is serving out the remainder of his sentence on gun possession charges in a halfway house.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Grand Hustle CEO seemed to be in good spirits and capped off the evening by getting on stage and saying, "I am very well, very happy to be seen."
MTV News recently spoke with T.I.'s manager and Grand Hustle label partner Jason Geter about the rapper's plans for the future. Read all about it here.

First of all, you need to get out more. Secondly, you can't call yourself the biggest Never Shout Never fan without owning this exclusive T-shirt presented by MySpace and ShockHound.com.

Before the untimely death of Michael Jackson in June 2009, female guitar prodigy Orianthi was ready to wield her axe for The Gloved One during his comeback concert series at London's O2 Arena. Sadly, fans never got to hear her rip up "Dirty Diana" live; luckily for us, though, we can get a taste of her licks in the documentary-concert film This Is It—and in the following video.
Orianthi honed her finger-picking skills when she was in high school and by the time she turned 18, the Australian native managed to open up for guitar gods like Steve Vai and Carlos Santana. Color us impressed!
Prepare to be awed by Orianthi's searing guitar solo. Plus, be sure to pay close attention because in the video below, the guitar-ess is going to teach you how to play her debut single "According To You." Turn the amp to 11, bro!

Some call it a "bowl cut," others refer to it as a "beach cut," a "chili bowl" or, my personal favorite, the "Moe Howard". However, any way you cut it, that hairdo is a definite hair don't in my book.
Previously known for her blonde pixie coif, model and musician arm candy Agyness Deyn recently appeared with a dark blunt cut at last week's Elle Style Awards in London. Then there's Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer/fashionista Karen O., who put the mushroom hairstyle on the hipster "Maps" ever since she appeared on the cover of her band's self-titled debut EP back in 2001.
Plus, don't get me started on how otherwise-gorgeous gals like Rihanna and Kelly Osbourne look utterly ridiculous they try to embrace their inner mop-top.
Look, unless your name is Randy Constan—otherwise known as "The Peter Pan Man"—then I don't want to see your face framed by a helmet of hair.

Okay, so that's not entirely true. Aziz Ansari doesn't exactly trade verses with the hip-hop heavyweights. Instead, he calls them out on being tardy to the party for the one, the only... Raaaaaaaandy. See, Raaaaaaaandy (yeah, he's rocking eight a's), is Aziz's self-centered, foul-mouthed, DJ-obsessed, stand-up alter-ego who has earned himself quite the loyal following. You might recognize his rants from the 2009 comedy Funny People, directed by Judd Apatow, or perhaps Aziz's recent hour-long Comedy Central special Intimate Moments For A Sensual Evening.
Regardless, Raaaaaaaandy is all about spitting rhymes—and talking sh+t, as heard on "AAAAAAAANGRY (With Eight A's)", a new track produced by TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek.
In the cut, Raaaaaaaandy is pissed that a bunch of rappers—including everyone from Kid Cudi to Kanye West, Ludacris to Mos Def—were sent beats for his upcoming mixtape but are taking their own sweet time to send back verses. As Stephanie Tanner would say, "How rude!"
Here's a sample tirade: "Ludacris, where are your verses? I bought a jar of mayonnaise whenever we sent you the beats and now that sh+t's expired! You're slower than mayonnaise."
Oooh, burn! Wonder how Luda's going to respond to that.

When MTV's original movie Turn The Beat Around premieres this Friday, February 26 at 10 PM EST, you'll probably notice that some familiar dance jams have been given a musical makeover by bands like Just Kait (who covers Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff") , Jeffree Star (who takes a stab at Donna Summer's "Bad Girls") and Sing It Loud (who tackle "Get Down Tonight" by KC And The Sunshine Band).
"We really wanted to do a song that was out of our element," explains Sing It Loud frontman Pat Brown of the band's decision to bring in 'da noise, bring in 'da funk. "Anyone that listens to our music would know that 'Get Down Tonight' isn't our 'style,' but we wanted to record it so it was almost identical to the original—with the exception of my voice. It was one of the more fun experiences I've ever had in a recording setting. It's fun to do something different!"
Indubitably. In fact, this Minneapolis-based, pop-rock quartet happens to be besties with more than a couple bands on the Turn The Beat Around soundtrack (like Star, Millionaires, who get freaky with Chic's "Le Freak," and Cobra Starship, who recorded the movie's title track), thanks to numerous summers touring together on the Vans Warped Tour.
So, if push came to well-choreographed shove, who would Brown like to grab for a slow dance and why?
"Shakira. My answer is self-explanatory."

We were wondering what that haircut was all about. Now we know! Jared Leto was getting his tour look together. Obvs.
With their last album, This Is War, still relatively hot off the CD presses, 30 Seconds To Mars are ready to head out to battle on their Into The Wild tour.
Coming along for the ride will be openers Neon Trees and Mute Math, who you can read more about here. The tour starts in Las Vegas on April 9th, but lucky for members of The Echelon (the band's loyal fan club), what happens in Vegas will be happening pretty much all over the country.
Check out all Into The Wild tour dates after the jump.
