Like their home state of Florida's erratic weather — sunny, paradise-like days, interrupted by torrential downpours, only to quickly return to its regularly scheduled sunshine — A Day To Remember mixes gorgeous, pop-punk melodies with sludgy metal-core riffage and breakdowns. And somehow it all sounds just right; their musical moodiness is our gain.
Taking their cues from the dexterous vocals of Jeremy McKinnon, who can switch from pit-inciting growls to prom-song crooning without a hitch, the band makes incessantly catchy tracks like "The Downfall Of Us All" appeal to both the romantic and caveman in us all.
Still riding high off the 2009 release of the group's album Homesick, A Day To Remember is going out on something of a victory lap tour with Silverstein, on a tour they've appropriately titled Toursick.
While they're out on the road we'll be premiering a new video for the Night At The Museum-referencing "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of? on Tuesday, March 16. You can check out the song and the video for Homesick's first single, "The Downfall Of Us All," below.
