A little while back we dropped the sneak peek at Lil Wayne's "Drop The World." We saw angry young men rioting, saw Weezy flipping the lyric bird to everyone, and Eminem howling at the moon. So we got excited. Well, get your popcorn ready and break out your copy of the Anarchists' Cookbook because it's time to watch the official "Drop The World" video.
If we were to psychoanalyze Wayne, we could say that this Chris Robinson-directed (Alicia Keys' "You Don't Know My Name," T.I. and Justin Timberlake's "Dead And Gone") clip is an accurate reflection of the Young Money leader's inner psyche. That this accurately reflects the turmoil Wayne was feeling as he prepared to begin his one-year jail sentence.
But we went to college for blogging, not head shrinking, so let's keep it real. "Drop The World," taken from Weezy's rock-and-rolling Rebirth, is full of skateboarding, Molotov cocktails, dudes running around and breaking stuff ... pretty much your normal day out at Warped Tour (kidding!).
In the face of all this chaos, Eminem seems pretty placid, sing-song-rapping about having his back against the wall. He is from Detroit after all, maybe none of this phases him (kidding again!).
