I don't know which designer decided to get stoned, watch "Aladdin" and come up with the not-so-brilliant idea to bring back harem pants, but I want that designer flogged -- or eternally punished by having to wear those horrid, saggy bloomers for the rest of time.

Regardless of whether you're a fashionista like Janet Jackson or a fashion victim like Lindsay Lohan, no one looks good in harem pants. No one. As much as it pains me to say this, if the "look" didn't work for MC Hammer, then it's not going to work for you. (Yes, I'm looking in your direction, Shenae Grimes.)

Whenever I see a poor soul trying to rock these trendy Turkish pants, I'm constantly reminded of a fussy baby waddling around in a dirty diaper. So. Not. Sexy. (I mean, unless you find poop-filled diapers sexy, which would be totally weird and mildly inappropriate.)

Style mavens, I beg you to "just say no" to this trouser trend and embrace the immortal words of Hammer: "Please harem pants, don't hurt 'em."

The story is almost too good to be true: Random dude approaches super-producer Randy Jackson in a Los Angeles diner, starts talking about his band, writes down his phone number and said band's MySpace page and skadaddles. A couple hours later, Jackson calls the dude and says he digs the tuneage and wants to work with the band. Crazy, right?

The random dude was Aswan North and his band, Paper Tongues, is now signed to A&M/Octone Records and managed by Jackson. Dreams really do come true! We recently caught up with the Charlotte, North Carolina, septet for this episode of "The 5." During our rap sesh, North & Co. discusses their raucous live shows, a recent group bout with a gnarly case of the flu and how the band often busts out improv rhymes during long drives.

Paper Tongues' debut album comes out March 30, and to celebrate the release, the band has plans to crisscross the States -- and possibly beyond -- for the next 24 months. Yikes! As Jackson would say, "These guys are some road dogs, dawg!"

Something Corporate (Credit: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)

When I rolled up to Bamboozle Left yesterday afternoon, I was immediately bombarded with a zillion texts saying, "Did you hear? The Jonas Brothers are TOTES playing with Something Corporate tonight!! Freal!" I nearly stopped dead in my tracks and said out loud, "Shut! The! Door!"

As the day wore on -- and bands like Never Shout Never, Hey Monday, The Maine and Orianthi rocked the stage -- I kept my eyes peeled for any of the Jo Bro fros. Unfortunately, the only sighting I had was of Simon Rex, who was playing the fest as his rap alter ego Dirt Nasty. What a disappointment on so many levels.

The Jonas Brothers did eventually show up (Nick and Joe, at least), but only to oogle Andrew McMahon and a newly reformed Soco from the side of the stage. Bummer to the max. Guess that collaboration will have to wait. However, Something Corporate just announced they'll be playing Bamboozle in Chicago on May 15. I wonder if an appearance at Bamboozle in New Jersey -- and a possible Jonas Brothers duet -- is imminent? One can only hope.

Finally, a week or so ago, I spotted Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato getting their pop-punk on at New Found Glory's gig at Hollywood's House Of Blues. Between their love for NFG and Soco, I wonder if the band is burnin' up for a new musical direction? As you ponder that horrible pun, check out more pictures from Bamboozle Left after the jump!

After the show, Never Shout Never frontman Christofer Drew was going to play a pickup flag football game. Nice face paint, bro. (Credit: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)

Here's a little-known hip-hop rule of thumb: The more, the merrier. Rap jams tend to sound better when an MC brings along a friend ... or two ... or five. (They're called Wu-Tang Clan not Wu-Tang Man, right?)

Washington D.C. rapper Wale knows all about this unsaid rule. His ability to collaborate and make great music with a wide variety of artists is one of the reasons he's so successful.

In honor of Wale's upcoming livestream on Wednesday, March 31 at 9:30 p.m. ET -- when you'll be able to watch the first night of Wale's tour live at MTV.com -- we thought we'd dig through the vaults and dazzle you with Wale's Top 5 best collaborations. We think you'll be pretty surprised to see the breadth of people he's worked with.

Click here to RSVP for the MTV.com livestream with Wale and K'Naan on Facebook and invite your posse.

Now here are the best collaborations:

5. Wale, featuring Lady Gaga, "Chillin'"
Lady Gaga was still an up-and-coming pop newbie when she sang the hook on this track from "Attention Deficit." Nice bangs, Gaga!

4. Wale, featuring Gucci Mane, "Pretty Girls"
Go-Go bands and soul singers are great, but you really hear Wale in his element when he's going toe to toe with another MC. Here's a great example of that. On "Pretty Girls," Wale trades verses with the hottest thing in the Dirty South, Gucci Mane.

Click below to see the top three collaborations.

+ It was all hijinks and shenanigans at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday night. The highlight of the evening occurred when Katy Perry, while presenting the award for Favorite Movie Actress to Miley Cyrus, got ambushed by some dreaded green slime. The "Hot N Cold" singer proceeded to chase Cyrus around on stage, but "The Last Song" star was spared a slimy hug, thanks to actor Jonah Hill. That's what friends are for. (Just Jared)

+ Adam Lambert fans won't have to wait long to hear new material from the "American Idol" runner-up. Well, that's not exactly true. During a UStream chat, the glam-pop singer revealed that he'll be releasing a remix EP on April 14. (MTV News)

+ Lady Gaga celebrated her 24th birthday Down Under and is, more than likely, pretty hung over. The "Monster" queen took to her Twitter account to tell her fans she was gonna spend her birthday at a dive bar and then promised "30 more years of writing music and videos." (I'm Not Obsessed)

+ Jay-Z brought his Blueprint 3 tour to Los Angeles over the weekend. The King of New York (sorry, Mr. Sinatra), rocked a sold-out Staples Center with help from openers Swizz Beatz, Young Jeezy and Trey Songz. Check out these photos from the night. (Idolator)

+ Is Beyonce with child? According to certain gossip sites, she is. But here's an interesting take on the whole situation, as well as a look at how gossip sausage is made. (PopEater)

+ Hayley Williams recently had some downtime from being on the road with Paramore, so she decided to do what lots of people do in their downtime -- record a cover of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" and throw it up on the Internet. (Sound Of The City)

A few weeks ago MTV hosted a very special live performance from Never Shout Never. Buzzworthy readers got to see a live clip of NSN's Christofer Drew perform his single "What Is Love." They also got the opportunity to ask Drew questions in an exclusive live chat.

As part of our new tribute series P.U.S.H. (Play Until Someone Hears), we're proud to present more videos from that amazing live performance. P.U.S.H. artists are folks we think should be on your radar, so we celebrate them for a week. Since Christofer is already one of our faves, he was a great choice as our premiere P.U.S.H. artist. Watching these clips reminds us what a thrill to get Drew playing his tunes within our walls, and we're excited to share them with you.

Check out two live videos of Christofer Drew performing "The Day The Music Died" and "Lovesick."

Be sure to check back tomorrow for more live clips from NSN's MTV.com performance.

B.o.B.'s name has been passed around by rap bloggers and talent-spotters for a while now as something of a secret talent. With this performance at MTV's Spring Break 2010 in Acapulco, it looks like the secret is out.

After teasing the crowd with a little flash of Naughty By Nature's classic, "Hip Hop Hooray," B.o.B. and his pal, Bruno Mars, went about the business of playing their buttery, soulful single, "Nothin' On You."

The song seems to be a particular favorite of the ladies in the Acapulco crowd, with many of them singing along. It's not really that surprising that "Nothin' On You" is the ladies' choice. The track, taken from B.o.B.'s upcoming B.o.B. Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray album, is an accomplished, mature look at relationships from the perspective of a former bad boy who is ready to settle down with the girl of his dreams.

Check out B.o.B.'s excellent, full-band take on "Nothin' On You," as well as his performance of the joyous "I'll Be In The Sky," both filmed at MTV's Spring Break 2010 in Acapulco, below.

Plus, check out the MTV Spring Break Style Guide and enter H&M's Style Eye Contest for a chance to win a spread in Lucky magazine, an MTV gift bag AND $500 at H&M!

Lady Gaga has recently come under fire for compromising the innocence of our nation's youth (according to Donny Osmond). That is, um, debatable. What is not debatable is how she compromises the safety of herself and others with her wildly dangerous, health-code-violating clothing choices.

Surely a woman of Gaga's influence must be more careful with what she wears. As a public service, we'd like to point out some of the "Telephone" singer's more dangerous ensembles. If you see someone you know, or love, wearing one of these getups -- run!

1. Bird's Nest Face
Luckily Beyonce escaped from this close encounter (at the MTV VMA's) with Gaga's nest-face with no scratches or errant feathers in her eye. But maybe next time she won't be so lucky!

2. Thunder & Lightning
Another near-miss at an award show. On Grammy night, Gaga rocked this sharp-edged Armani suit and Philip Treacy hat. She could have taken someone's eye out!

3. Neck Brace of Feathers
Not only do you have to wonder how or or why she's wearing a neck brace of feathers, this VMA eye-catcher also begs the question: Can she even breathe in that thing?

4. Blood On The Dance Floor
This one is pretty self-explanatory. It's what she wore during her legendary performance at the VMA's. Any outfit in which you bleed excessively (even if it's fake blood) is one that should stay in the back of your closet.

5. Your Body is the Scene of the Crime
You know you're dangerous when you rock yellow crime scene tape as an outfit. This "Telephone" video ensemble should be off-limits to everyone.

After the dancing neon graffiti and dance-move instruction of her last video, "Right Hand Hi," Kid Sister returns with a much more natural and realistic clip in this video for her new single, "Daydreaming."

Following in a long line of music videos featuring gals working for the weekend as waitresses (think The Pretenders' "Brass In Pocket"), "Daydreaming" finds the MC/singer working at a coffee shop called the Donut Hole (mmm ... donuts). As she goes about her daily donut-slinging, her daydreams are represented by a little "Sims"-like bubble above her head.

The video depicts a variety of different folks going through the daily grind, while we get to see what's really on their mind. The track, taken from Kid Sis' 2009 album Ultraviolet, is more of a straightforward pop look for the Chicago artist. And it features a nice vocal cameo from Gnarls Barkley/Goodie Mob member, Cee-Lo.

Ultra Violet is out now, Check out the video for "Daydreaming," below.

+ Don't let Miley Cyrus' glowing smile and bubbly personality fool you. She's a grunge girl at heart. "The Last Song" star recently told "The View" ladies that she hasn't really caught Justin Bieber fever. Rather, she counts herself more a fan of Nirvana and the troubled genius of the late Kurt Cobain. "He's like my dream boyfriend." Might wanna grow your hair out, Liam Hemsworth. (MTV News)

+ Another singer might have already found her dream boyfriend. Rihanna has apparently asked her Los Angeles Dodger paramour, Matt Kemp, to move in with her. (I'm Not Obsessed)

+ No summer vacation for Selena Gomez; the "Naturally" singer will be hard at work with the Lilith Fair tour. (Idolator)

+ Yesterday we posted a video parody of Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video that satirized the original clip's grandiose pretensions. Now, everyone's piling on. Donny Osmond (of The Osmonds ... duh) recently went on his radio show and ripped the "Telephone" clip: "I wouldn't want my child to watch this video." (PopEater)

+ Despite the controversy surrounding "Telephone," some people associated with the video are actually benefiting from its popularity. Designer Brian Lichtenberg, who came up with the crime scene tape "outfit" that Gaga sports in the clip, has joined forces with the department store Forever 21 to design a line of clothing. (LimeLife)

+ We're used to seeing Katy Perry rocking rather colorful, audacious outfits. But even the most stylish of divas can use some swagger coaching (just ask Justin Bieber). The "Hot N Cold" singer seems to have found her swag mentor in the form of ... Snoop Dogg. As Perry tweeted, "Take that Biebz." (Just Jared)
