Last year Canadian folk-rock duo Tegan & Sara (and their art designer Emy Storey) teamed up with the footwear brand Macbeth to design their own sneakers. They even made a neat little video about the endeavor.

These fine-looking hi-tops would be a great find no matter what. But now you have all the more incentive to seek them out, as Tegan & Sara have taken the time out to personally customize two pairs of Macbeths and put them up for auction on the awesome Web site Crafts For A Cause. It's a charity Web site full of incredible donated memorabilia up for auction with all the proceeds going to Artists For Peace And Justice's efforts to help Haiti.

Other celeb goods up for auction: a microphone used by Christina Aguilera (!), the chance to have a song produced by Mark Ronson (!!), and decorated and signed robot costumes courtesy of Daft Punk (!!!).

To bid on the Tegan & Sara shoes (or ROBOTS!), head over to Crafts For A Cause or Bidding For Good. If we see you walking down the street dressed like a Daft Punk robot, we'll know you've done a very good deed!

As a treat, let's all watch the Tegan & Sara video for "Alligator." Even if they aren't rocking Macbeths in it, they still have awesome dance moves.

Most bands start in the middle of nowhere, and if they're lucky they move to the big city. If they're even luckier, they get a major label contract. Neon Trees did things their way. The core of the band, singer Tyler Glen and guitarist Chris Allen, first met in Southern California. When Chris decided to move to Provost, Utah, for school, Tyler followed. So why would anyone want to live in Provost or Utah? Neon Trees share seven things you need to know about Utah.

7. The best new band in the world lives there: us!
6. Utah is home of the original KFC.
5. "Troll 2" was filmed in Utah.
4. There are actually Democrats in Utah. You just have to seek them out.
3. A ton of Winter Olympians relocate to Utah to train and live -- Apolo Ohno being one of them.
2. Gary Coleman is currently residing there.
1. "Footloose" was filmed there.

And if that's not enough of a good reason, Utah is apparently a good source of musical inspiration. Check out Neon Trees' video for their single "Animal," which was actually shot in Arizona. (Maybe the next one will be in Utah.)

+ Plus: Watch Neon Trees reveal their band romance in this MTV Buzzworthy Blog interview.

Seems like it was only yesterday we watched Adam Young, aka Owl City, chilling in his bedroom alone, messing around with some keys and synths and making electro-pop goodness in the form of his video for "Fireflies." Now dude's gone big time.

In Owl City's new clip for "Vanilla Twilight," taken from the album Ocean Eyes, Young is still hunched over a keyboard, but that's about all that remains from his humble beginnings. "Vanilla Twilight" features a cast of, well, dozens, all experiencing some kind of epiphany as they stare up to the sky.

Featured in that cast of dozens, and acting as a kind of symbol for Owl City's phenomenal success, is Shaquille O'Neal. I'm going to write that out again, just to make sure I'm not crazy. Shaquille O'Neal is in the Owl City video. Yeah, it doesn't look any more normal the second time, either.

Shaq, along with a collection of assorted citizens, gazes at a gorgeous natural light show taking place in the heavens. Is it northern lights? God? Aliens? Probably not aliens. But it is ambiguous! As is the reason behind why the Cavs' starting center is in this video!

Humanity owes Trey Songz a lot. I mean, the guy invented sex, for Pete's sake. Anyone else might just say, 'You know, I invented sex. You're welcome. I'm going to retire to the Caribbean and drink mudslides for the rest of my life.' But no. Trey continues to give. And for that we are in his debt.

The R&B singer has had a heck of a couple of months, with hits like "LOL :)" and "Say Aah." He's found a formula -- freak-nasty lyrics, sung in an angelic voice over slick, soft, soul beats. And he's sticking to it.

"Neighbors Know My Name," taken from his 2009 album, Ready, sounds like something that might have come from one of Trey's major influences, R. Kelly. Trey's relationship with Kells hasn't always been a smooth one, with the up-and-comer dissing the veteran on his version of Jay-Z's "D.O.A." But the impact Kelly's music has had on Trey is obvious after one listen to "Neighbors."

Given his past inventions, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out why neighbors know his name. Yes, Trey's boot-knocking disturbs the peace. The song finds Trey relating a particularly intense romantic encounter that does nothing to endear to other members of his co-op. This kinda thing will totally be brought up at his tenants meeting.

Watch Trey Songz' "Neighbors Know My Name" video below. And watch him perform "I Invented Sex" and "Say Aah" live from MTV Spring Break 2010.

+ Sad news for fans of the band Metro Station. It appears that the electro-rock outfit, which counts Mason Musso and Trace Cyrus as members, may have called it a day. The band was scheduled to appear at Towson University's Tigerfest next month but pulled out. According to the school's campus activities, the band told the school they had called it quits. (Alternative Press)

+ While her brother's band was breaking up, Miley Cyrus was on "Ellen" talking about getting together ... with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. Miley told Ellen that she knew there was something special about her The Last Song co-star when, upon first meeting, he held the door for her. Who says romance is dead? (MTV News)

+ Lady Gaga is in talks with a London eyewear company to design her own line of specs and shades. The label, Linda Farrow, has previously collaborated with the likes of Róisin Murphy. No word yet on whether the cigarette shades from the "Telephone" video will be included in the line. (WWD)

+ If you want to go on a date with Pink, don't bother making reservations at The Ivy or Nobu; 7-Eleven will do just fine. The "Sober" singer recently enjoyed a preconcert date with her man, Carey Hart. The menu? Beer in a can and string cheese. Anything else would be uncivilized! (I'm Not Obsessed)

+ Ke$ha recently went swimming in the ocean and picked up some indie-rock credibility at the same time. The "Blah Blah Blah" singer was spotted at legendary surfer hangout Bondi Beach, in Australia, rocking a Pixies T-shirt. (Just Jared)

+ Some inspired genius has put together a gallery of LOL Cats re-enacting Twilight. (Film Drunk)

Right after Justin Bieber's live MTV.com performance (watch it below if you somehow missed it) and just before the release of his new album, My World 2.0, we caught up with Justin before he took off for London and asked him seven quick questions (since he had a plane to catch, and far be it from us to keep Justin Bieber away from the Bieber Fever spreading through Western Europe.)

See what Justin Bieber had to say about whether or not he's been in love, the woman who will forevermore bear his likeness on her skin (mom tat!), following his fans on Twitter, the late, great Michael Jackson and more.

This week we're introducing MTV PUSH, a new weekly music series where we highlight some of our favorite artists and the music you need to hear now, from classic hitmakers a decade deep into their career to artists you haven't heard on the radio but who still play to sell-out crowds.

Young music giants aren't just pin-up stars and well-suited, perfectly groomed guys who make eyes at the camera while pretending they're not flexing. Sometimes young music giants come in the form of unassuming, slightly bedraggled, tatted-up wunderkinds in hand-me-down ripped jeans. The kind who play the ukulele (and harmonica) and sing about sweetness and light, heartbreak and hope. Young music giants like Christofer Drew, the quietly rebellious dynamo behind Never Shout Never, who climbed his way to the top of the online music heap and acquired throngs of die-hard fans the likes of which are usually reserved for arena-rock bands with extensive discographies and larger-than-life personas.

In the Never Shout Never video for "Can't Stand It," Drew tips his hat to Bob Dylan's "Don't Look Back" and The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night." Apt reference points for a shaggy-haired thrift store troubadour whose incredible musical talents and persona has become a source of inspiration to the loyal (and rabid) fanbase who've crowned him their saving grace.

As if the kids at MTV's Spring Break celebrations needed any encouragement to shed clothing and dance like they were extras in "Footloose," Young Money brought the bouncing beats of their hit "Bedrock" to the party in Acapulco, much to the obvious delight of the crowd.

While Lil Wayne might be otherwise engaged, the rest of the crew more than held it down for their boss. With Nicki Minaj and Drake leading the way, they had the crowd shouting out lines ("GROCERY BAG!") and harmonizing with the angelic/devilsh Lloyd-sung chorus (even though Lloyd wasn't present for the proceedings). Nicki especially gets to Hanna-Barbera levels of animation while ripping her verse.

Be sure to check out all the live videos taken from MTV's Spring Break in Acapulco, featuring performances from Ludacris, Pitbull, B.o.B. and more.

Plus, check out the MTV Spring Break Style Guide and enter H&M's Style Eye Contest for a chance to win a spread in Lucky magazine, an MTV gift bag AND $500 at H&M!

The creation of art is the easy part. The tough part comes with its reception. Broken Bells, the collaborative project between producer extraordinaire Danger Mouse and Shins frontman James Mercer, have recently created and released their self-titled debut album. Then they took the fruits of their labor to a discerning jury of tough critics.

On trial is their single "The Ghost Inside." Sitting in judgment? Just some of the most demanding, antsy kid critics you've ever seen.

Luckily for the Broken Bells boys, the grading is done on a pass/fail system. "The Ghost Inside" splits the vote, but stuff gets real when these opinionated tykes get real. The girl on the far right likes the beat, while her pal to her left votes thumbs down on Mercer's "metal icky" voice. The kid with the dope hat in the middle likes, interestingly, "the middle parts," while his British bro thought the drumbeat was too repetitive. Harsh but fair.

Check out this adorable video, as well as a live performance of "The Ghost Inside," below.

If you've had a chance to check out our live videos from MTV's Spring Break 2010 performances in Acapulco, you might have noticed a blond lady rocking freaky bridal chic next to Ludacris.

That was not Lady Gaga (or "Like A Virgin"-era Madonna, for that matter), but Nicki Minaj. The Young Money princess unveiled her blonde bombshell look onstage while performing her verses on Ludacris' ferocious single "My Chick Bad."

Nicki was sporting the whole bride-without-a-wedding-dress thing; with lace, fishnets and some kind of super-elaborate choker of crystals. Much like the white-lace ensemble Lady Gaga put on for her 2009 MTV VMAs afterparty. Minus the embroidery hoops.

So what do y'all think? Is Nicki biting Gaga's style? Borrowing from it and making it her own? Or is she an absolute original? Let us know in the comments.
