I know the Internet is awesome. As a source of information and as a mode of communication it is unparalleled in the annals of human achievement. It brings us closer together, makes us more connected. But, really, who are we kidding? The Internet has one purpose greater than all others: providing us with a steady stream of amusing cat videos.
Whether or not you like Justin Bieber or agree with TARP funding -- and all health care debates aside -- YouTube videos are basically the one thing on planet Earth that everybody likes. So without further ado, here are Buzzworthy's favorite videos of cats getting surprised and/or scared. But in a loving, nonharmful way, of course. Enjoy.
1. The Original Surprised Kitty
Seriously, your cat is not as cute as this cat. Your video of your cat being surprised will never be as cute as this cat being surprised. Sorry. Them's the breaks.
2. Wondering Cat
This little guy seems like he might have just watched the end of "Shutter Island."
3. The Ghost Of Christmas WTF!?
It's a not-so-silent night for this feline, as a musical Christmas tree shocks the holiday spirit right out of it.

Oh hai, Trina! When it comes to the fashionable, feisty femme-MC game, the Miami Mami has been ceding some shine to up-and-comers like Nicki Minaj. But the Baddest Chick is back ... and she brought some friends with her.
"Million Dollar Girl" is the first single from Trina's new album, Amazin'. First thing's first: You're not gonna go wrong with a Prince-sampling (or perhaps just really Prince-sounding) beat like this. Add the combined charisma of Diddy, Keri Hilson and Trina, and it's three-way tie for a win.
The Gil Green-directed video is basically a large banner that reads "Recession? What recession?" Things start on a private jet and just get more and more fabulous; with Trina doing her diamond-encrusted thing in the hanger.
Check out the video below. Amazin' is due out in May.

+ You don't typically turn to 17-year-olds for career advice. But when your career path is "burgeoning pop star," and the guest judge is a 17-year-old who has already released hit albums, headlined tours and starred in movies and television shows, you might want to listen. That's exactly what 11 contestants from "American Idol" found themselves doing on last night's broadcast when Miley Cyrus played the part of mentor to the aspiring chart-toppers. (MTV News)
+ The throngs of girls chasing Robert Pattinson all over the place have already compromised his privacy, and now they're starting to compromise his hearing. The "Twilight" star says, "I'm almost completely deaf." (I'm Not Obsessed)
+ Other stars in the "Twilight" galaxy seem to be having an easier time with it. Dakota Fanning, a member of both the Volturi and The Runaways (how's that for dual membership?) let her hair down on "Lopez Tonight" and let Kat Von D give her a "Cherry Bomb" tattoo. (Idolator)
+ Probably the most obscenely adorable bowling trio of all time (with all due respect to my uncle Leon and his two friends Dale and Ed): "Glee"'s Corey Monteith, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez all threw some rocks at a Studio City bowling alley yesterday. (Just Jared)
+ If you're not one of the thousands of people who spend most of their time thinking, listening to and tweeting about Justin Bieber, here is a nice CliffsNotes to Ke$ha's lil' baby, and his rise to power/fame/world domination. (Pop Eater)
+ After working with Jonas Ă…kerlund on her epic "Telephone" clip and Francis Lawrence on the ground-breaking "Bad Romance," Lady Gaga will now pair with legendary photographer Steven Klein for her upcoming video for "Alejandro." (Vulture)

Of the many specious arguments I made to my parents to get them to buy me stuff, one of my favorite chestnuts has to be the one I offered in an attempt to get them to cop me some Reebok Pumps, which are currently celebrating their 20th year of being hype. These sneakers were an instant sensation upon their release, even prompting this Saturday Night Live parody:
In my then-pubescent mind, I was convinced that the only thing standing between me and immediate spike in my vertical jump (and my subsequent college scholarship and pro contract for the Philadelphia 76ers) were a pair of shoes with small basketballs on the tongue that, when pumped, would ... do something important.
How I made the jump in logic that simply depressing the pump on said Reebok Pump kicks would automatically make me proficient in violent, Philly Quaker league record-shattering dunks, I do not know. But I do know that a whole new generation of young people are about to go on that very same journey.
These iconic sneakers, a favorite of NBA ballers and the kids who wanted to be just like them, are making a comeback. I've seen a few lucky sneaker geeks rocking them, and now I know why.
The Pumps have been revamped and rereleased in a super-limited fashion. Only 20 retailers carry Reebok Pumps 20.0, and each retailer has a customized model. (But check Packer Shoes in New Jersey, Bodega in Boston and Undefeated in L.A.)
Did you cop a pair? Let us know!

Another day, another border run. In today's installment of live performance videos from MTV's "Spring Break 2010" in Acapulco, we bring you more Ludacris, show a performance from up-and-coming Atlanta MC B.o.B. and wrap things up with a turn from Pitbull.
With two dancers rocking outstanding neon tank tops, Luda breaks the speed limit on his Battle Of The Sexes single "How Low." The second clip finds Pitbull stirring the Spring Breaking crowd into an absolute frenzy. The Miami MC is clearly an energetic performer, as you can see his button-down drenched in sweat. Props for having a full band with him, which definitely adds a bit to the casual hookup ode "Hotel Room Service." Finally we have, B.o.B., who gets heavenly with his afterlife anthem "I'll Be In The Sky."
Plus, check out the MTV Spring Break Style Guide and enter H&M's Style Eye Contest for a chance to win a spread in "Lucky" magazine, an MTV gift bag AND $500 at H&M!

If you've been around the Internet since before Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video came out, you'll remember Tay Zonday and his hypnotic "Chocolate Rain" video, which made him a YouTube star to the sound of more than 49 million plays and even got him spoofed on South Park.
Well Tay Zonday, who moves his mouth away from the mic so he can breathe, has once again blessed us with a brand-new, velvet-voiced DIY video, quizzically entitled "Musicolio." And speaking of Gaga, "Musicolio," which is a deep-bass roller coaster full of fits and starts, conjures some very Gaga images. I mean, the line "Skittles exploding right out of my telephone"? Either Tay's been blasting "The Fame Monster," or this actually is a viral ad for Skittles. Also, all of those keyboards shots are just BEGGING for a Keyboard Cat mashup! Anyway, LET'S DO THIS THING!
Watch Tay Zonday's "Musicolio" video and watch the ORIGINAL, "Chocolate Rain" (accept no imitations!).

On the heels of Stone Temple Pilots' much buzzed about live appearance at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas, last week, let us now turn our attention to STP's upcoming self-titled album, prepped for a May release. Scott Weiland seems to have pulled himself together and gotten on the straight and narrow. But despite getting clean, the notorious bad boy is still infatuated with singing about the darkside.
Stone Temple Pilots' lead single is "Between The Lines," a slithery hard-rock number that recalls both early '90s Aerosmith (Weiland definitely has some Steven Tyler in his voice on this one) as well as classic STP.
With the headline-grabbing chorus, "You were always my favorite drug/Even when we used to do drugs," Weiland is still flirting with his demons. Here's hoping he keeps a safe distance and keeps making classic Pilots anthems like this one.
Stone Temple Pilots is out May 25.

And here we have the cover art for Christina Aguilera's "Not Myself Tonight" single from her upcoming album, "Bionic." Christina, dressed in a latex bustier with matching latex shorts is part Madonna, part Gaga, part Glambert and fully intriguing.
Christina, whom we saw looking absolutely angelic in the February 2010 issue of "Marie Claire" is obviously anything but holy on her "Not Myself Tonight" cover, so it'll be interesting to see if "Not Myself Tonight" is similar to the freak-behind-closed-doors concept behind Shakira's "She Wolf," or if Christina just plain goes there with the "Mommy's been naughty/You've been a VERY bad boy" thing. Regardless, Christina's been hitting back hard for well over a decade, so surely "Not Myself Tonight" will be very much All Aguilera.

YO, WE ARE DEFINITELY ENTERING A NEW ERA OF KANYE WEST. MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE OF ALL THE HATING BUT I DOUBT IT BECAUSE KANYE WEST IS RUBBER AND HATERS ARE GLUE, ETC. BUT EVER SINCE THE WHOLE VMA DEBACLE PLANTED "I'MA LET YOU FINISH" INTO OUR LEXICON, KANYE HAS KEPT IT PRETTY LOW-KEY.
YEEZY IS IN HAWAII, WHICH IS A REAL CHILL PLACE TO HANG YOUR LOUIS VUITTON FEDORA, SAVE THE TSUNAMI WARNINGS, WHERE HE IS RECORDING THE FOLLOW-UP TO HIS SUPER EMO 808'S & HEARTBREAK. IS IT GOING TO BE ALL SLACK-KEY GUITAR AND MEDITATIVE YOGA? I DON'T KNOW! BUT I BET ALL THE WAVES-LAPPING-AGAINST-THE-COAST AND POI-EATING IS REALLY ZENNING HIM OUT.
BUT AS YOU CAN TELL BY THE CAPS-LOCK, WE MISS OLD KANYE. SO WHILE WE WAIT FOR HIS NEW ALBUM, GOOD ASS JOB, LET'S LOOK BACK IN ANGER AT SOME OF HIS CLASSIC, IN THE RED BLOG RANTS.
1.) The Post-Bonaroo Meltdown: After drawing criticism for making fans wait late into the early morning for his performance at Bonnaroo in 2008, Kanye responded with measured vengeance and furious anger ... towards his MacBook Air.
2.) Kanye Vs. Twitter: In response to "losers making fake Kanye West Twitter accounts," Kanye went O-F-F on social media.
3.) Kanye West: Up In The Air: Kanye West was accused of being an in-flight diva. This made him so upset he actually wrote with caps lock OFF.
4.) Kanye Apologizes To Taylor: After making one of the most infamous uninvited stage appearances in MTV VMA history, Kanye apologized to Taylor Swift. via his blog.
5.) Kanye Does Not Apologize For Wearing Fur: In a since-deleted post, Kanye went once more into the blog breach, giving PETA the bird and generally saying "haters to the left" to anyone else who had a problem with he and girlfriend Amber Rose rocking fur at Fashion Week.

Miley Cyrus took a seat in the high chair on Good Morning America yesterday (and seriously, WHY are those chairs SO HIGH?) to talk about her upcoming movie, The Last Song (watch a new clip of Miley in the film below), learning how to portray a piano prodigy, and to concede that she probably wouldn't make it into Juilliard.
Miley -- who is happier than ever not using the Internet -- might not have the piano chops to make it into the prestigious music school, but she could easily make it to the top of Buzzworthy's Best Dressed List. Can we TALK about how cute Miley's silver sequin crop top is?
Want Miley's metallic look? Check out this fringed embroidered bolero and studded vest -- pair them with a black tee for a Runaways look. And check out the top on the right. It's a sequin print. So smart!
