If you weren't at your computer on Friday, April 30, you missed the live stream of the Gorillaz performing at London's Roundhouse. We wish we could show the whole gig, which was great.

Their performance featured tracks from the new album Plastic Beach with special guests Mos Def, De La Soul, Bobby Womack, Snoop Dogg and more. Plus The Clash's Mick Jones and Paul Simonon were a part of the backing band.

Since we can't bring you that gig, we'll give you a taste with videos of a recent performance by Gorillaz on the British show "Later ... with Jools Holland." Here are videos of "Stylo" and "White Flag." Be ready to be grooved by Damon, Mos Def and many more.

In case you're wondering what's been up with Gorillaz of late, a lot has changed for the virtual supergroup since their album Demon Days. There's been much madness, mayhem, kidnappings and explosions. Evil Svengali Murdoc Niccals has taken over the fantastical floating island of garbage known as Plastic Beach.

With airborne pirates hot on his heels and moaning whales surrounding Plastic Beach, Murdoc Niccals clearly has just one choice: Plan a massive party, and let the new Gorillaz album loose upon London and the world. All you have to do is watch the cyborgian experience unfurl.

Just to give you an idea of how great the Roundhouse show was, here are photos from Gorillaz's Roundhouse show on Thursday, April 29. (And yes, that's Snoop and De La Soul.)

They grow up so fast, don't they? "For those who don't know me ..." is the first line of Miley Cyrus' new single, "Can't Be Tamed." And while it's hard to imagine there's a person on Earth who's unfamiliar with one of the most popular teenagers in the world, star of stage, screen and recording studio, we are, in a way, getting to know a whole new Miley Cyrus.

Gone is the effervescent, optimistic, bubbly pop-country-rock of her formative years. Meet the new Miley. Pouting about, the attention, "like I'm under inspection," over a thumping, squelching electro-beat. Sounds like she's been listening to a steady diet of nothing but Britney and Gaga.

She warns off perspective suitors claiming they, "try to change me, but they realize they can't." Why should they bother? Miley's changing plenty all by herself.

Check out Miley's new song, "Can't Be Tamed," below. The video is due to debut Tuesday, May 4.

When we last heard from Jared Leto and 30 Seconds To Mars, they were making their way through the heartland, crisscrossing the Midwest. We rejoin them as they begin to make their way down the East Coast, revisiting some old haunts and making some new friends. Read more of Leto's tour diaries here. 30 Seconds To Mars is currently on tour with Mute Math.

By Jared Leto

So, after a brief trip to see our ol' Canadian friends, eat some Fresh For Life, walk around Queen Street, and enjoy Toronto, we went back Stateside to our home away from home ... N-Y-C.

Ahh ... the Madness of The Modern Man.

The Mars Bar...

The day after NYC, we went to the farm of our friend, the artist Larry Slezak, for some fresh air, peace and quiet and homemade scones (courtesy of wife and daughter). Yum!!!

It was great to see our old friends and amazing to go from the craziness of the city to the peaceful countryside of Massachusetts.

My brother and I had an amazing morning on the farm and then headed to Boston to play a sold out show that night. It doesn't get much better than that...

*cough*

Back to NYC after Boston for a huge show at Roseland. Thanks to all who came and great to see our New York friends and family. Epic nights in both Boston and in New York.

P.S.: Thanks for ripping the shirt right off my back (literally). You guys are animals. XO

Thanks to my buddy Jimmy and company at the legendary Trash and Vaudeville for the electric blue jacket. Matches my hawk in a neon kinda way ...

*cough*

I was sick as a dog a the NYC show, but the Echelon helped me out and I made it through -- turned out to be one of the best shows of the entire tour.

I woke up the next day to see this @jaredleto on Twitter ...

Better than chicken soup!

*cough*

Oh, I've been been working on our documentary "Artifact" -- but more on that another time. Next we hit up one of our old stomping grounds: Washington, D.C. When I lived there, Marion Barry ran the town, and it was a very different place ... memories flooded.

We went on a bike ride through the streets and visited some old haunts.

Shan riding through D.C ... Georgetown.

The Potomac at sunset.

*cough cough*

I took a turn for the worse, and although I got through D.C. and a sold-out show in Philadelphia, we regrettably had to reschedule the Charlotte show to November 7. I'm sorry I couldn't make it this time, but we'll be back stronger and better than ever.

I took a needed day off, and after making a pit stop at Duke University in Durham to research the effects of macro fission on subatomic particles using a new form of modular contrast electron microscopy.

We made our way to Miami.

Now here I am at The Fillmore, feeling a bit better, still hacking up a lung, writing to you, and preparing to play to our Miami, West Palm and Fort Lauderdale peeps! Thanks to you all!!!!

See you on the next stop of Into The Wild.

Credit to Official Hot Mess; Upon viewing the reality TV-crazed pop-culture landscape, the new-ish band fronted by just-outta-high-school gals Kristy and Lindsey Landers decided to say, "If you can't beat 'em, invite 'em to join you in a music video."

Here we have "Welcome 2 LA," a new single off the band's self-titled album from last fall. It's a song about the boulevards of broken dreams that line the City of Angels, and the folks who pour into that town, looking to make it as a star.

The action is set at a Hollywood Hills mansion full of wannabe stars, hanging out with reality icons such as Public Enemy (and "Flavor of Love" star) Flavor Flav and "America's Next Top Model" winner (and "The Surreal Life" veteran Adrianne Curry.

It's a spunky pop-rock number that doesn't take itself too seriously. Check out the video below.

If this whole music thing doesn't pan out (knock on wood), Jordan Witzigreuter can always fall back on comedy. Over the last couple of weeks The Ready Set front-dude has been releasing a series of really funny sketch comedy clips, mocking the superficial nature of the music industry (and his own paltry athletic skills). And today we've got another one.

This video, titled "Marketing," finds Witzigreuter reunited with his label boss and comedy co-conspirator Pete Wentz. It seems the Decaydance chief has discovered the fact that lots of stuff (music) is available for free on the internet. His measured, appropriate response? Start merchandising and marketing everything to make up for the loss of sales.

Witzigreuter wants to sell hoodies. Wentz wants him to sell ... his kidneys. You can see where this is going. Check out the new video as well as the other two sketches below for the hilarity.

Miley Cyrus has caught some flack recently; for her somewhat condescending statements about the intellectual superiority of her and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, for her dismissive comments about Twitter (a social networking service she once used frequently), and for generally growing up in public.

So we thought we'd try and even out the scales a little bit by pointing out that Miley headlined the first annual World Wish Day concert; a show put on by the Make-A-Wish Foundation that granted the wishes of over 30 children at the Grove in Los Angeles. Here's looking at you, kid.

The folks at MTV Iggy had the fine idea to get the wonderful indie rock band Surfer Blood to play its jam "Floating Vibes" at the Lower East Side club The Delancey and capture the whole thing on camera.

Surfer Blood's breakout debut album, Astro Coast, is full of jangly, slightly askew pop-rock gems that recall the best moments of classic indie bands like Pavement, while tipping its musical cap to classic rock stalwarts such as Cheap Trick. I know I've mentioned Cheap Trick a lot recently, but that's because Cheap Trick is awesome.

Anyway! Surfer Blood ran through "Floating Vibes" as well as "Take It Easy," and its single "Swim (To Reach The End)." Check out the videos below. You can check out the MTV Iggy blog post about the filming of the live session right here. Astro Coast is out now.

So Christina Aguilera's new video for "Not Myself Tonight" drops tomorrow is out! Watch it below! It's the first single from her highly anticipated, long-awaited new album, Bionic. To stir up some interest and create some buzz, Xtina has been releasing some toooootally subtle and demure images from the Hype Williams-directed video via her website.

Let's take a look at some of Christina's "Not Myself Tonight" video stills and derive whatever meaning we can.

Cynics might suggest that the ribald, girl-on-girl action above is an homage or nod to the recent uptick in lady love à la Lady Gaga and Beyoncé's "Telephone" video. But knowing what we know about how Xtina feels about Gaga (let's just say she ain't on her Christmas card list), we think the safer bet is that this a portrait of a working mother, tired after a long day on the set of a video, finding the first place she can to take a load off.

Yes, the above pic owes a certain amount of debt to Madonna, circa Blond Ambition. But hey, you're trapped inside with the kid for a couple of years, watching "The View," reading "The Secret" or whatever and trying not to gouge your eyes out on the mommy boards. After a while you gotta go out and let your hair down with the girls. Or a bunch of dudes.

Yes, it's more Madonna worship. This time, the "Human Nature" era.

But, damn! Can't a lady be thirsty! Lotta hot lights on the video set! Sometimes Xtina needs a beverage!

The main character in Hotspur's new video for "Heads/Tails" really gets a raw deal. Forget a "Dear John" letter -- this dude gets a postcard!

The action begins in this Josh Eisenberg-directed clip with a lady slipping off in the morning light while her apparently-now-ex boyfriend sleeps. Upon awakening, he finds her gone with only the fact that his hair is perfectly matted in a just-out-of-bed fashion to console him.

The piano ballad, taken from Hotspur's 2009 You Should Know Better By Now album, concerns itself with the role chance plays in relationships (hence, heads or tails). If you want to see what simple twist of fate awaits the couple in the video, all you have to do is click play.

Check out "Heads/Tails" below.
