This week we spent some time with P.U.S.H. Artist of the Week Green Day, as the Cali punks turned arena rockers launched their Broadway musical, "American Idiot," which reinterprets the Grammy-winning album and Green Day's through-line: kids in America finding their identity and voice in a political structure that doesn't define them.
We've looked into the possibility of the "American Idiot" musical moving from Broadway to the big screen and, perhaps most important, we offered you a chance to see "American Idiot" on stage for yourself.
Now, we're bringing you a few awesome video interviews with Billie Joe, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt. In these video clips, Green Day talks about moving "American Idiot" from album to musical, the vicarious stage fright of watching its Broadway baby take the stage, pretending to know how to read music and how it feels to watch the audience get involved and hear Green Day's songs in a radical new way.
Check out all the videos below and be sure to enter to win a chance to see "American Idiot" on Broadway!
