Get your frequent-flier miles ready, because The Young Veins have just released the artwork for their debut album, "Take A Vacation!" It hits June 8. I don't know about you, but the cover makes me want to climb a mountain, swim in the ocean or listen to some Beach Boys albums -- like the "All Summer Long" album below, perhaps.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan Ross & Co. picked up some of their retro gear at Brian Wilson's last garage sale. Hell, it's not like any of the Beach Boys can fit into size 28 pants anymore. One musician's trash is another musician's treasure.
+ Now go watch two classic Beach Boys videos -- "In My Room" and "Sloop John B."

With summer closely approaching, it's no surprise that girls are running to the salon for a fresh, new, low-maintenance 'do. When the weather starts heating up and the humidity starts to bear down, the appeal of less hair up there is obvious.
But sadly not everyone can pull off the physical, mental and spiritual repercussions of that kind of chop -- just ask the following celebrity hair victims.

Hayden Panettiere: Now that "Heroes" has been given the kibosh, I'm thinking Hayden wanted to -- literally -- cut down on her morning routine so she could just get up and go without all that pesky long-hair upkeep. Why go through all the trouble of blow-drying, curling and setting when you can simply run some Dippity Do gel in your hair and call it a day? Panettiere's time is precious, people. I mean, the dolphins aren't going to save themselves, are they?

Natalie Portman: When Natalie Portman buzzed her gorgeous mane for her role in 2005's "V For Vendetta," there were almost riots in the streets. Thankfully, Portman's perfect face made the transition much easier. And some fans fell even more in love with the pixie-haired actress -- like a bunch of indie-rock kids from Seattle who went so far as to name their band Natalie Portman's Shaved Head.

Keri Russell: Before J.J. Abrams became the smokin' hot smoke-monster director he is today, he was just the fresh-faced lensman of a little show called "Felicity," starring Keri Russell. Known for her flowing, curly locks, Russell was queen of The WB -- that is, until she decided to go ahead and cut all her hair off. Then she was nothing! NOTHING! Okay, she wasn't exactly nothing, but her popularity took a nosedive, people blamed "Hairgate" for causing a drop-off in viewers, and the show was canceled in 2002. Russell even took a break from acting after the whole situation. So let this be a lesson to you. Do not cut your hair.

The Midwestern pedigree of Every Avenue shines through on its debut album, "Picture Perfect." This quintet from Michigan work the same equation as Illinois power-pop pioneers Cheap Trick; make the melodies sticky sweet and pour some serious volume on top.
They may look like your average pop-punk-emo providers, but Every Avenue has a classic rock heart, one that beats to rhythm of bands like Cheap Trick, The Beatles and The Cars. On songs like "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" or the single "For Always, Forever," the band's incredible mix of classic-rock power chords (courtesy of guitarists Joshua Randall and Jimmie Deeghan) and song structures with pop-punk exuberance make for some delirious listening.
"Picture Perfect" is out now, and the band is currently taking part in the Alternative Press tour along with Never Shout Never. Check out the video for "For Always, Forever" below.

Welcome to music videos in a post-"Telephone" world. Sure, Lady Gaga's epic prison-break clip wasn't the first video to push boundaries (visually or in terms of content), but it does seem like since the mixed reception and incredible popularity of "Telephone" (more than 28 million views on YouTube and almost half a mil on MTV.com, alone), artists are throwing caution to the wind and making the videos they want to see.
Case in point: this new clip from Young Jeezy. On the same day M.I.A. releases her controversial, violent, sociopolitically charged clip for "Born Free," (WARNING: MASSIVELY NSFW) Jeezy goes back to the trap, hard, with "Lose My Mind."
Young Jeezy's age-restricted video doesn't push buttons as hard as "Telephone" or "Born Free," but it's certainly a more vivid and visceral video than we're used to. This day-in-the-life portrait of a rapper on the edge finds Jeezy in the streets and in the club. And while those might not be uncommon settings for hip-hop videos, they're rendered starkly, in black and white, with a foreboding air hovering over the proceedings. Jeezy's on edge, and he's right in your face with his paranoia.
"Lose My Mind" is the first video from Jeezy's highly anticipated Thug Motivation: 103.

UPDATE: Gaga fans are NOT amused. Christina Aguilera fans dig through the Aguilera archives and fight back.

The internet just got a little more gorgeous with the release of this stunning photo of Christina Aguilera on the set of her new video, "Not Myself Tonight," the first single off her upcoming album, "Bionic" (out June 8).
Christina, in black latex, neon yellow eye shadow and a relatively subdued fluorescent streak in her blond hair (subdued as compared with her hair in "Dirrty" and "Lady Marmalade") manages to look edgy with a throwback noir flare. Christina, I don't know who you are, but please keep being that person.

Doesn't Katy Perry's face scream, "What? This old thing? It was the first thing I grabbed out of the closet." Sheesh, where I'm from most of the gals hit the mall with their hair pulled back, some Juicy sweats and a hand firmly gripping an Annie's pretzel.
But as we have come to learn well, Los Angeles is not like anywhere else. Case in point: the above shot of Katy Perry, mall-hopping in L.A. this past weekend, apparently shopping for fiancé Russell Brand.
Perry was wearing a dress from H&M's Fashion Against AIDS collection. A portion of the proceeds from the H&M line go towards MTV's Staying Alive Foundation. Imagine what she'd look like if she were actually going some place that required dressing up. The mind reels.
