Cady Groves might look like your typical American Apparel pinup girl, but this Oklahoma native is more interested in heartfelt rock songs than tri-blend pocket jumpsuits. (Sorry, Dov Charney.)
When asked to describe her sound, Groves has said, "If Miranda Lambert, Paramore, The Dixie Chicks and Taylor Swift all had a less-talented baby -- that would be me." We can't say we disagree with the comparisons -- but we'd fight her about the "less-talented" part because lady can sing sweeter than honey, and her introspective lyrics remind us of a young Alanis Morissette.
If you missed Groves when she opened up for Buzzworthy faves like Never Shout Never and The Ready Set, catch her on the Bamboozle Roadshow this summer because she'll be performing alongside All Time Low and Good Charlotte.
Check out the videos for "Real Like Me" and "One In The Same" below. Cady Groves' The Life Of A Pirate EP is out now.
After hearing the news that Lady Gaga was applying to be an intern for famous hat designer Philip Treacy, we did what any fully functioning, right-thinking blog squad would do. We came up with some more places Gaga should work this summer.
Sure, it's all well and good for Gaga to parlay her interest in fashion into a side hustle. But couldn't you see her in a variety of different occupations? We certainly can! Also, Gaga, don't forget to fill out all of your school paperwork so you can get credit and blah blah blah.
1.) Fast Food Drive-Thru Attendant
Basically this would make the greatest border run, like, ever. You pull up to the drive-through, psyched for a Gordita or whatever. Through the muffled, distorted transmission, you hear a familiar voice. And when you pull around to pay? Bang! Lady Gaga in full lunch-lady glory (see above photo), asking you if you need napkins!
2.) Lady Gaga The Prerecorded Customer Service Voice
Whether she was providing customer service vocals for your cell phone service provider or knocking "Julie" off her Amtrak perch, wouldn't it be cool to hear her say, "Para Español, oprima numero dos."
3.) Baseball Concession Sales
How awesome would it be to be sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley, or Fenway, and suddenly hear, "Roma-roma-mamaa! Cold-beer-cold-beer-heeeeeere!"
4.) Delivery Person
It would be totally cool to have Gaga bring you her pizza, right? Might be hard for her though. Especially if she tries to negotiate a fifth-floor walk-up in this getup:
5.) Paparazzi
Seems like something she might already have a passion for!

We already know that Jordan Witzigreuter makes catchy electro-emo with hip-hop leanings as The Ready Set. And we already know dude is a licensed reseller of LOLs, with his hilarious viral videos, which occasionally costar his label boss, Pete Wentz. Now it's time to learn even more about the enigmatic young artist.
In this episode of "The 5," we learn about Witzigreuter's DIY aesthetic. He played most of the instruments on The Ready Set's recordings. Both America AND Jordan Witzigreuter got talent.
Things get a little more wistful (and weird) when Witzigreuter recalls the days when he used to want to be a dinosaur. The nostalgia theme continues as he remembers the time when he dyed his hair blue. It was not a good look.
Watching this video (as well as The Ready Set's "Love Like Woe" clip) is, however, a good look. And you may do so below. The Ready Set's Tantrum Castle is out now. I’m Alive, I’m Dreaming is out June 15.

It's nice to know that I Fight Dragons, the Chicago chiptune band that we introduced you to last week, actually has some fight in them. Sure, with the band's deep love of video gaming, they get plenty of mortal combat with controllers. But in this exclusive Buzzworthy blog video, we get to see the band actually throw down in the real world.
We caught up with I Fight Dragons in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (which is the capital of Pennsylvania, FYI). Singer Brian Mazzaferri does a good job juggling the dual roles of telling us where the band is (they're on the Too Fast For Love tour) and officiating a sword fight between two other Dragons, including an Iron Man-masked Laura Green.
Check out the video below. I Fight Dragons' Cool Is Just A Number EP is out now.

Miranda Cosgrove recently sat down with us to answer a heap of important fan questions from fans like YOU. During our powwow, Miranda talked about her favorite songs off her new album, Sparks Fly (hint: It's disgusting how much she loves one particular track), and who "Kissin U" is really about. Plus, she dishes about the one thing she'd change in the world if she could. (Her answer might surprise you.)
Could the "iCarly" star/pop star be more adorable? Doubtful.
Watch Miranda Cosgrove's MTV Buzzworthy interview below and check out the video for "Kissin U," the first single off Sparks Fly, out now.

Whether hanging out with Diddy, being mauled at the mall or just going about his usual, tattoo-getting daily life, Justin Bieber is usually the smallest one in the room. Maybe that's why he likes Japan so much. Because dude is BIG in Japan.
The above pic, snapped at a promotional event in Tokyo, is really just a matter of perspective; Bieber actually isn't a giant, he's just stepping out of what seems like a small doorway, onto a raised platform. But we could think of no better way to start the day than to imagine Giant Justin Bieber. More pics of Biebs doing it large, below.

Not to be confused with the Mario song "C'mon," electronic heavyweight Tiësto -- the world-renowned Dutch DJ/producer who can fill a stadium faster than 10 artists combined and play six times as long -- and remix overlord Diplo (you've seen his visually arresting Major Lazer videos, and you've heard his grime on everyone from M.I.A. to Britney) teamed up on dance track "C'mon." They usually play two different (though not opposing) sides of the coin, musically speaking, but it's an explosive electronic pairing that works perfectly.
See what happens when the king of dance trance meets the king of the remix in Diplo and Tiësto's new performance video, "C'mon," shot at Winter Music Conference 2010 in Miami.

It became clear to me when I interviewed Courtney Love, as it will to you when you watch the videos below, that she is not the type of woman who gets interrupted often. Love is the opposite of timid, and, as she freely admits in this interview, she has no filter. But it's part of her dynamic. And why should Love stop talking? She's a walking, talking, full-color book of stories and opinions. She's funny, open, she freely admits her shortcomings and she's completely honest. Many musicians show up at MTV having memorized their press release. Love is not that girl. (She expressly told me she hates talking about what her songs mean.)
Love has been the grunge poster girl, married to one of the most iconic rock figures of the 20th century. Plus, with four Hole albums down -- including the latest Hole album, Nobody's Daughter -- she's created some of the most influential female-fronted rock music of all time. Clearly, Love has had experiences that you and I have not, nor will we ever have.
In this exclusive MTV Buzzworthy Blog interview, she shares experiences that are quintessentially hers, such as convincing Linda Perry to give her "Beautiful" instead of Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears (we know how that ended up), playing a private Vegas show in a Balenciaga dress and Kurt Cobain calling her the greatest f*** in the world. Love also shares with us some experiences that are universal: making money, the nuances of bipolar disorder, Twitter, Etsy addictions (she spent six figures on Etsy) and body functions. Also, you probably don't have to deal with Lady Gaga's stylistic influence on the changing face of the music industry and the chasm between rock and pop. But Love does. She's the "queen of rock and roll," and at the same time, she's down-to-earth enough to be your next-door neighbor.
Watch Courtney Love cover all of those topics and much more in these exclusive Buzzworthy interview clips.
