Taken from his hotly anticipated, totally stunning Love King album, here's The-Dream with what might just be the catchiest song of the summer: "Florida University."
Gators? Gainesville? Why Florida University, you ask? Well take a look at the picture above. Now imagine The-Dream wasn't extending his index finger... Yeah, that's what "Florida University" stands for.
This is one of the most cutting and hilariously bitter breakup songs you will ever hear. Couched inside of a beat that recalls Justin Timberlake's "My Love," The-Dream gets to finally tell the girl of his nightmares, "I told you so."
If this seems all a little vague, it's because I'm really trying not to curse. But that pales in comparison to how creative The-Dream gets with the same task. Really, this one is all about the chorus, where you get to scream, "F U!" at the top of your lungs to the one that broke your heart.
Check out "Florida University" below. Love King is out June 29.

We're all still catching our breath and drying eyes from Phoenix's near-holy "MTV Unplugged" performance. The marimba on "Lisztomania" would have been worth the entrance fee alone, had there been an entrance fee!
But what about the men behind the music? What's on their minds? We decided to find out in this exclusive Buzzworthy Q&A with the fine Frenchmen of Phoenix.
Find out how Phoenix felt about appearing on "Saturday Night Live" (guitarist Laurent Brancowitz musing, "We didn't know it was imporrrrtaaant,' FTW!"). Hear about how Phoenix has changed since the group's early days, how they felt about PS22's kiddie chorus cover of "Lisztomania" and much, much more.
Check out the interview as well as their "Unplugged" performance of "Lisztomania" below.

Dog days, people. That's where we're headed; that point of the summer where the "OMG! I <3 SUMMER!" feeling kind of dissipates and your days are basically composed of sweating, staying hydrated, cursing global warming and generally losing your sense of swag.
What you need is a nice, breezy, chill-out feel-good jam to cool you down. And that's what we have here with "Lay Me Down," courtesy of the L.A. band, The Dirty Heads, with a little help from Rome, the lead singer of Sublime With Rome (a group that features ex-members of the classic summertime band Sublime).
In this Thomas Mignone-directed clip, we get that easy summer feeling, watching the band perform on the beach while interspersed with some footage of lovers on the run in Mexico.
"Lay Me Down" is taken from The Dirty Heads' Any Port In A Storm, out now. Check out the video below.

It looks like Beyoncé is having a really nice, really chill summer. Here she is, spotted last night at the one-year anniversary party for Club Avenue in New York City. I don't really know why nightclubs need anniversary parties, but whatever excuse is needed to have Beyoncé come out, looking like she just spent the last three months in Williamsburg listening to MGMT on repeat, is a worthy occasion.
Through all her videos for I Am ... Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé has presented herself as an icon; the amazonian firestarter of "Single Ladies," the robot of "Diva," the desperate housewife of "Why Don't You Love Me." Even in "Halo," she looked otherworldly.
But here, on a random Wednesday night out, she just looks like a normal New York City gal! Ripped jean shorts, "Flashdance"-style T-shirt, curly hair. All hail Hipster Beyoncé! And all hail her awesome videos for "Single Ladies," "Diva" and "Halo," below.

File under: Sweetly sad. The King Of Pop's wax statue at Madame Tussauds Washington, D.C., got a touch-up in preparation for the celebrity wax museum's monthlong tribute to Michael Jackson, who died a year ago on Friday, June 25.

And so the lion fell in love with the BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZHONNNNNNNK! It's hard to get members of Team Edward and Team Jacob to agree on anything. But I think we all can agree that the World Cup's vuvuzela horns need to go the way of the dinosaur.
The sound of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the vuvuzela horn, is buzzing, honking and incredibly loud. You hear it every time you tune in to a game. And now it has left South Africa and made its way all the way to Forks!
Some genius on the internet (spotted over at Hollywood.com) has decided to take the trailer for "Eclipse,"
the upcoming third film in the "Twilight" saga, and lay down the deafening vuvuzela sound on top of it.
It's hard to decide whether this makes the scene hilarious or more dramatic. Probably a bit of both. Check out the video below. And don't miss MTV's live stream of the "Eclipse" premiere on Thursday, June 24.

You may look at the title of this post, blink twice and think, "?" But think again, folks. Where do stars spend most of their time? On stage? Wrong. In the studio? Nah. Nope, these little darlings of the celebrity galaxy spend most of their time in airports. Taking off and landing and waiting. They're just like us! So we thought, in light of Lady Gaga's recent capsizing at Heathrow Airport in London ...

Today, we're taking a look at which of our favorite stars handles air travel the best. Let's look at the evidence.

+ Miley Cyrus: We love Miley, but this is a lesson in how not to look at the airport. Here we see she who cannot be tamed, deboarding with her beau, Liam Hemsworth. The dour look on Miley's face might be due to the presence of paparazzi, but I think it's more likely got to do with Liam and Miley only having one laptop between them and Liam demanding they watched "300" (again!) when Milers wanted to watch "The Proposal."

+ Britney Spears: Aha! The ol' master-of-disguise method. Who is that normal-looking blonde girl wearing granny glasses and carrying what looks like a sewing machine or typewriter? Is she going to a party in the 1940s? No! It's Britney Spears! Fooled ya!

+ Jonas Brothers: Whoop! Whoop! It's the sound of the Jonas Brothers arriving at the airport. Forget frowning your way through security check-in! The JB's bring security to them! On motorcycles! Here we have the brothers Jonas on the tarmac at the Austin, Texas, airport. Love how Kevin is dressed up as every single Tom Cruise movie character ever all at once.

+ Taylor Swift: This is how you do it. Taylor Swift, who just got off a flight to Japan in the above pic, looks like she just stepped out of the salon. And she's got nothing but smiles for her fans. Bravo.

+ Lady Gaga: Konichiwa, Bitches! We weren't gonna let this go by without pointing out the grand dame of airport fashion and style, Lady Gaga. Sure, she might have toppled over in London, but look at her turn Narita International Airport into a fashion show!

Now that there's so much candy-coated, sugar-rush imagery associated with Katy Perry's summer jam to end all summer jams, "California Gurls," it's easy to forget there's a really, really catchy song underneath. Added to which, the song is so dang popular that it's already reached that point where you can't go anywhere without hearing it anymore, you know? Kinda like what happened to Outkast's "Hey Ya."
Well, leave it to the boys in the indie-dance band Passion Pit to rediscover and reinvent "California Gurls," making it awesome all over again.
The original version is a bouncy, funky, infectious piece of pop. On Passion Pit's remix, the song becomes a moodier, more club-friendly track that feels a little like Shannon's '80s freestyle classic, "Let The Music Play," which, if you recall, Jordin Sparks redid.
Check out the remix below, and watch a three-pack of seriously awesome videos: Katy's "California Gurls," Passion Pit's "Little Secrets" and Shannon's "Let The Music Play."

It's the revenge of the Jonas Brothers, people. Just yesterday we were wondering whether or not the JB's were losing their edge, whether or not other pop culture phenomenons like "Twilight" and Justin Bieber had taken their place in the hearts of young America, whether they had become, well ... dorky.
Well, the Jonas Brothers will not slip quietly into the night! They're back, with the soundtrack to their show "Jonas L.A.," and this brand-new video for "Feelin' Alive," taken from said show's soundtrack.
"Feelin' Alive," is a very pretty song with an inspirational, uplifting vibe to it. The video is, more or less, live footage of the band performing. Interestingly enough the Jonas Brothers swing for the fences early, pulling out their patented group-walk down the extended platform of the stage in the opening bars of the song.
Check out the video below. The "Jonas L.A." soundtrack is out now.
