Last week we got all into the songs of the summer, highlighting windows-rolled-down anthems by the likes of Gaga, Xtina, Katy Perry, Usher and Train. Well, we might want to make a late addition to the list with "Misery," the new single from Maroon 5.
"Misery" is pretty classic Maroon 5, with a rubber-band funk bassline, swinging beat and Adam Levine's rich, conversational vocals riding on top. Like a lot of Maroon 5 jams, "Misery" is a buoyant, poppy affair that has a dark underbelly. "Misery" is about the dire straits Levine finds himself in when a relationship peters out.
If the song sounds like sunshine, the video will apparently be a little more stormy. Levine recently told MTV News that the upcoming clip will feature some violence, wherein the lady comes out on top.
"Misery" is the first single from Maroon 5's upcoming album, Hands All Over, due out in September. Check out the song below.

Lady Gaga is on the cover of Rolling Stone's summer music issue, referencing the gun bra from her "Alejandro" video and her trip to Yankee Stadium, exercising her constitutional right to bear arms, as well as her right not to wear pants (which, last time I checked, was not a matter of constitutional law).
A picture is worth a thousand words, so I won't write a thousand more here. But I will ask you, the gentle readers of Buzzworthy, if you can think of a single star in pop music's long and storied history who has been more averse to wearing pants. It's like she is single-handedly trying to put pants out of business. I love Gaga. But I also love pants. I guess she and I will have to agree to disagree.
Rolling Stone's summer music issue hits newsstands on June 23.

Miley Cyrus is known for many things: her impossibly irresistible songs, her dancing, her ever-evolving style, her acting, her ex-boyfriends, her complicated relationships with fame and the internet, and her "Miley Cyrus: Can't Be Tamed World Premiere Live" performance tonight at 10:30 ET/7:30 PT. But one thing Miley doesn't get enough attention for is her lyrics.
Whether they're her own words or someone else's, Miley's music always comes from the heart, painting a pretty lyric word picture about what it's like "just being Miley."
So let's take a look at five awesome Miley lyrics.
1.) "7 Things I Hate About You" -- "And compared to all the great things/That would take too long to write/I probably should mention/The 7 that I like."
In Miley's classic breakup-to-makeup jam, girl goes on and on about all the reasons her dude is a dud. That is until the final verse where she switches gears and lists what she likes about him. Love is a crazy thing.
2.) "The Climb" -- "There's always gonna be another mountain/I'm always gonna wanna make it move/Always gonna be an uphill battle/Somebody's gonna have to lose"
Miley's inspiring ballad from the "Hannah Montana" soundtrack is about overcoming adversity. And this line, acknowledging the occasional necessity of defeat in one's life, is a nice turn of phrase.
3.) "Fly On The Wall" -- "If you were my boyfriend, I'd be true to you/If I make a promise, I'm coming through/Don't you wish that you could/See me every second of the day/That way you would have no doubt/That baby I would never stray."
In "Fly On The Wall," about a overly persistent dude, Miley dresses down her would-be suitor with this barbed wit.
4.) "When I Look At You" -- When the waves are flooding the shore/And I can't find my way home anymore/That's when I look at you."
Miley can tell a guy off with the best of them, but "When I Look At You" finds her in a more vulnerable, sensitive zone, expressing how much her significant other means to her.
5.) "Party In The U.S.A." -- "I'm nodding my head like, 'Yeah!' Moving my hips like 'Yeah!' "
Come on. It doesn't all have to be poetry! Has any line ever expressed the utter joy you feel when your favorite song comes on?

Man, Heidi Montag is wasting NO time getting back into the game. With her divorce from Spencer Pratt in the works, Heidi's looking at her options. And she's not ruling out younger guys -- 16-year-olds, specifically. Justin Bieber, to be exact.
Just today, Heidi, who must've taken Justin Bieber's "Somebody To Love" video to heart, tweeted Justin Bieber, saying "now that I am getting divorced I think you and I should do a photo shoot together! Cutie ;)! I'm closer to your age."

Um, calling someone "cutie" on Twitter AND tweeting them a smiley face? That's pretty direct! Could a Katsuya sushi date be in the works for Heidi and Justin Bieber? They could even collaborate in the recording booth.
+ Should Justin Bieber date a newly single Heidi Montag? Vote in our poll and tell us!

A couple of weeks back we introduced you to the incredibly talented singer, Alexis Jordan. The "America's Got Talent" contestant and YouTube sensation has been blowing people away with her pipes since she was 14 years old, but now, with her video for "Happiness," you can see she's an honest-to-goodness, burgeoning pop star.
"Happiness," which was directed by Aggressive and produced by the hitmakers Stargate (who have worked on almost all of Ne-Yo's best material, among other projects), is a sultry, bubbling dance track that reminds me of both Kylie Minogue and Ne-Yo's more dance-friendly stuff.
Speaking of Kylie, the video has a real "Can't Get You Out Of My Head"/altered reality vibe to it, with everyday scenes played out with a dreamlike quality.
Check out the video below (along with Kylie's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head"). Alexis' debut album is due out this year.

The last time Lady Gaga was caught in pinstripes it was in her jailhouse-set music video for "Telephone," with Beyoncé. But over the weekend Gaga donned a different kind of pinstripe, that of the New York Yankees, when she took in a game at the defending World Series champions uptown stadium.
This marks the second time Gaga has visited a New York baseball park in recent weeks. A little while back, she was caught flipping the bird to some nosy paparazzi while attending a Mets game at Citi Field. This act has prompted the Mets to have a "Go Gaga For Wright" night at the park, encouraging fans to, ahem, make third baseman David Wright "number 1," if you get my drift, in the All-Star voting.
Gaga's visit to Yankee Stadium was not without controversy, either. There were reports that a booze-swilling Gaga entered the Yankees clubhouse and tried to chat up some of the players, causing mayhem in and around the area. There were even rumors that Gaga had since been banned from the Yanks' clubhouse, but General Manager Brian Cashman told the New York Daily News, "She's not banned." He added: "Where a security detail prevents the media covering the game from doing its job, that is wrong. This has nothing to do with her."
Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano wasn't too bothered by the whole scene, telling the Daily News, "She's a great singer -- she can sing. I tell you that. I just wanted to say hi." Aww.
