Far East Movement is certainly part of a very now sound. Like the sonic children of producers such as Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Dr. Luke, the group makes absolute pop, taking from any and all genres, mixing and matching a producing undeniable, infectious, hook-filled sound.
As songwriters, Far East Movement, along with its frequent collaborators The Stereotypes, have been responsible for genre-bending tracks from Bruno Mars, LMFAO and rapper Wiz Khalifa.
On its own, their intoxicating music, heard in films like "Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift" and shows like "Entourage," seems to advocate the universal language of doing it big in the club, with tracks like "Like A G6" (featuring the talented Dev). It's party music for anyone, everywhere.
The diverse background of members Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif and DJ Virman probably informs this open and curious sound, which is full of sonic references to pop, dance and hip-hop. The group's relentless touring schedule, which has seen them share a stage with Lady Gaga, Pitbull and Black Eyed Peas, helps the cause, too.
