Taylor Swift's new song, "Mine," off her upcoming Speak Now album, suggest a new, slightly more sophisticated worldview. But she's still the same girl next door who it's impossible not to like. Don't believe me? Just watch this lovely behind-the-scenes video where Taylor Swift walks you through the making of her "Mine" video.
For her "Mine" video, Taylor took her act north, from Nashville all the way to Kennebunkport, Maine. Taylor's totally enchanted by the town, which until now was best known as a vacation destination for the first President Bush. And of course, the love is mutual on the part of Maine locals. Again, because who doesn't love Taylor Swift?
In the video below, Taylor talks about the joys and difficulties of having such a warm welcome to the town. While she appreciated all the appreciation, having an entire town on her video set did make the filming sound a little more laborious than it needed to be.
Oh, who cares? Sounds like a great time was had by all, and the "Mine" video is, no doubt, another charming slice of romance, humor and heartache from Taylor.
Check out the behind-the-scenes look at Taylor's "Mine" video below, and watch a sneak peek of "Mine" here. And tomorrow night, don't miss Taylor Swift's live special where she'll return to Maine for the premiere of her "Mine" video. Then go to MTV.com on Friday, Aug. 27 at 8pm ET to watch Taylor's live special and the premiere of her "Mine" video at 8:30.

It's always pretty exciting when a production team decides to step out from behind the mixing board and flex their artistic muscle under their own name. Whether it's N.E.R.D. or, more recently, Far East Movement, the results are typically both surprising and expertly produced.
Which brings us to The Midi Mafia. After crafting hits for Justin Bieber, 50 Cent and Jennifer Lopez, this duo, made up of Brooklyn-born Bruce Waynne and Canadian Dirty Swift, has struck out on their own, releasing their debut EP, Vegas Lights.
Like their production work, Vegas Lights leans heavy on party-starting anthems. But, in a sign of changing with the times, Midi Mafia's evolved past their R&B-heavy past work, instead crafting a grip of thunderous dance-pop tracks.
While Vegas Lights tracks like "Blinded By The Lights" and "Phamous" will certainly make any wallflower blossom into a party animal, Midi Mafia's hottest track is "Lucky," featuring Internet sensation Dave Days, and it's a club banger that will be featured on tonight's episode of "Jersey Shore."
Listen to Midi Mafia's dance track, "Lucky" below, plus check out their "Phamous" video featuring "Fantasy Factory"'s Chanel and their "2 Piece (So Cosmo)" video. And be sure to listen for "Lucky" on tonight's episode of "Jersey Shore." Vegas Lights is out now.

We're less than month away from the 2010 MTV VMAs, and we've got even more VMA performers and VMA guests to announce! Like this news! Usher and Paramore will be performing live at the 2010 MTV VMAs! They'll join an all-star lineup of 2010 MTV VMA live performances by Justin Bieber, Eminem, Drake, Kanye West, B.o.B, and Florence + The Machine.
And more performers will collaborate with house artist deadmau5. Robyn, Travie McCoy and Jason Derulo will team up with deadmau5 for one-of-a-kind VMA performances.
Finally, "The Social Network"’s Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield will join a list of confirmed 2010 MTV VMA presenters, including Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Selena Gomez, Ashley Greene and Ne-Yo.
Usher and Paramore have both had a massive 2010, and they'll likely be in a celebratory mood. Paramore's still riding high off their 2009 album, Brand New Eyes, touring and dropping unstoppable singles like "Careful." And when Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams isn't touring with Paramore, she's making smash hits like B.o.B's "Airplanes."
Usher's year can be summed up with three simple letters: "OMG." The suave R&B gentleman is back to his Confessions form with his most recent album, Raymond Vs. Raymond.
Check out videos by Usher and Paramore below, and of course...
+ Don't miss the 2010 MTV VMAs live from Los Angeles, hosted by Chelsea Handler, on Sunday, September 12, at 9/8c!

Orville Redenbacher, the popcorn guy, once said, "Do one thing and do it better than anyone."
In Lil Jon's case, that's making party music to raise your pimp chalice to. And his new video, "Hey," featuring 3OH!3 on backup, is certainly no exception.
In the "Hey" video, Lil Jon and 3OH!3 are seen partying in and around Hollywood while the "Jersey Shore" cast -- "Hey" is featured on the "Jersey Shore Soundtrack" -- does what they do best: party.
Beer is chugged, the Situation's abs are, once again, flashed, the beat is beaten and the dawn is broken.
Watch "Hey" now.

Oh, you know just a normal Wednesday for Katy Perry. Woke up, after performing an awesome live set and appearing on "The Late Show With David Letterman," safe in the knowledge that she will likely have the number one album in the country next week (with her second album, Teenage Dream, having been released on Tuesday). Then you get some purple extensions, throw on your finest leopard-faced jacket and run off into the New York night.
What to do? Well, of course you go out to a Scissor Sisters concert with your pal, none other than Adam Lambert! What else would you do?
Perry and Lambert enjoyed the glam-disco and fabulous stage show of the Scissor Sisters. The dynamic duo were apparently joined by actress Susan Sarandon, of all people. I smell a sitcom pitch right there.
Sounds like an awesome night and a great way to celebrate a tremendous week. Teenage Dream is out now.

You already know that Linkin Park truly got put through the wringer -- metaphorically and almost quite literally -- for their new video, "The Catalyst," directed by Joe Hahn. But we had no idea they'd go to such great lengths to portray what looks and feels an awful lot like the apocalypse ... and even waterboarding.
Chester Bennington nearly drowns, Mike Shinoda gets gassed in a car and pretty much everything comes crumbling down around them in this steamy, dreamy, quite petrifying video. There's no lack of clarity here: something very bad just happened, and things might get worse.
Images of bombed-out buildings, broken glass, gas masks, chemical invasion and general damnation leave no doubt that "The Catalyst" sets Linkin Park within the grips of a nuclear holocaust. But their desire to break free from the chaos -- echoed by the lyric "lift me up/ let me go" -- casts a vaguely hopeful caul over the video. But do they survive?...
Watch Linkin Park's "The Catalyst" video now and tell us what you think happens to the band.

We wrap up the day with some alternative shots from Lady Gaga's amazing September cover of Vanity Fair magazine. We went into detail about Gaga's granny hair and lack of clothing a couple weeks back when the cover dropped, so there's not a ton to ponder here.
Really the big change is the obvious presence of clothes in the center cover, with Gaga rocking what looks like a rather elaborate black lace catsuit by Somarta. The other Vanity Fair cover finds Gaga covering up demurely, while sporting the same absence of threads as the cover that actually hit stands.

Personally, we feel like the middle one is pretty awesome, but Gaga's rather fetching. What's your favorite Gaga/Vanity Fair cover? Let us know in the comments! And watch Gaga dance around naked at her Vanity Fair shoot here!

For whatever reason, the Sunshine State, which is Florida for those of you not up on your official state slogans, is capable of making producing some pretty excellent if moody music. Anberlin, Underoath... not exactly sunshine-y, right? Well add Automatic Loveletter to that list.
Now, Automatic Loveletter, which is a four-piece fronted by Juliet Simms, isn't anywhere near as dark as Anberlin or Underoath, but they're not nearly as chipper as fellow female-fronted-Floridians Hey Monday. Somewhere between a darker Paramore, a less goth Evanescence, Loveletter make atmospheric rock full of attitude and anxiety.
In Simms, whose less-is-more approach to clothing is sure to turn some heads, Automatic Loveletter have a genuine rockstar on their hands. Just one look at the band's video "Heart Song," taken from their most recent album, Truth Or Dare, and you'll see what I'm talking about; she's got a fallen angel's voice and a devil-may-care, attitude-filled growl.
Check out the video for "Heart Song" below and listen to music at Automatic Loveletter's MySpace page. Truth Or Dare is out now.

MGMT were always straddling their pop tendencies and their psychedelic meanderings (I mean "meanderings" in the best possible way). The combination of indelible melody and strangeness is what made songs like "Kids" and "Electric Feel," so great.
But with their most recent album, Congratulations, and the singles and videos that album has spawned ("Flash Delirium" and "It's Working") the band can be heard (and seen) hopping off the fence and fully embracing their weird side.
The duo may have reached the peak of Mount Strange with their new video for "Congratulations." The song is a totally pleasant, sun-baked folk-pop track that takes its time getting where it's going. But the video is a different animal altogether.
And I mean different animal. In the clip MGMT managers, Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, wander through the desert with a beast of unknown origin. The Internet (which is always on the money with this kind of thing) has dubbed the animal a, "Duck-dog-o-saurus."
I don't know what it is about alt bands and their fascination with bizarre creatures in their videos, but this is the second clip in as many weeks to feature a freak of nature, as Yeasayer's "Madder Red" clip saw Kristen Bell mourning her "sentient pet meatwad." Kids today, I tell ya.
Check out MGMT's "Congratulations" video. Congratulations is out now.
