It was less than a year ago that Rihanna indulged in her dark side with Rated R, a moody and atmospheric album that spawned hits like "Hard" and "Rude Boy." With her videos, singles and Last Girl on Earth Tour, Rihanna made her presence felt all year, and now it would seem she's going to keep it going, with the planned release of a new album, Loud, coming in November.
"Only Girl (In The World)" is the first single from Rihanna's Loud album, and it debuted this morning on the Ryan Seacrest radio show. Loud has been rumored to be a return to the more club-friendly sound of "Please Don't Stop The Music" or "S.O.S." And if "Only Girl..." is anything to go by, the rumors were true.
Produced by Stargate (Ne-Yo, Katy Perry), "Only Girl..." is a bubbling, slow-building dance track. Much like Katy Perry's "Firework," Stargate brings the boom in the chorus, adding a blitz of trance synths to the chorus, as Rihanna howls, "I want you to love me like I'm the only girl in the world."
Check out "Only Girl (In The World)" below. Loud is due out November 2nd.
