The boys from The Maine, who are currently touring behind their Black & White album in England, sat down with Buzzworthy to have a little chat about being in high school, being in a band, having fans who love them and whether George Michael knows who they are.
We first learn about how some members of this five-piece signed their names on a record label contract before they saw their names on their high school diplomas.
Then we move on to the wonderful world of internet popularity. It's widely assumed that The Maine owe a lot of their success to social network sites like MySpace. Just don't that to tell singer John O'Callaghan: "I don't think we're famous. If we were famous we'd be making money," he says.
Don't go thinking these dudes are a bunch of sour apples, though. The Maine genuinely seem to have affection for their fans, as you can see when they recount some of the band-themed tattoos they've come across in the past. They also have an excellent sense of humor about George Michael and their cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas."
Watch The Maine's Buzzworthy Q&A, as well as their video for "Inside Of You," both below. The Maine's Black & White album is out now.
