There were so many gasp-worthy moments, eye-popping outfits and legendary performances from last night's 2010 MTV VMAs that's it's hard to wrap your head around it all. So what better way to look back at an incredible VMA than through the always-interesting lens of celebrity Twitter accounts.
+ Nicki Minaj had a great night, kicking things off with her pre-show performance of "Check It Out" with Will.i.am. But the fun had just begun. Just check out Nicki Minaj with Ke$ha, Rihanna and her co-presenter, Katy Perry, in this Twitpic she posted:

Rihanna made a shocking appearance onstage with Eminem, where she performed her part of their duet, "Love The Way You Lie." It was a special gift to all her fans watching, and Rihanna seemed to know it would come as an unexpected turn of events, tweeting, "SURPRISE!!!....just had to do it guys."
For Katy Perry, the MTV VMAs are a special event. It's where she first met her fiancé, Russell Brand. Perry tweeted about the anniversary, shortly before showtime: "To the 1-year anniversary of our love @ the #VMAs @rustyrockets. You're here w/us in spirit 
." She then showed off her manicure love letter to Brand:
In celebration of his Best New Artist victory, Justin Bieber invoked the name of '80s action icon Chuck Norris (who Biebs once jokingly suggested should play him in the film version of his life), on his Twitter, declaring, "CHUCK NORRIS...We did it. Hahahaha."
But perhaps the best tweets came from one of our favorite comedians, Aziz Ansari. Last week, the host of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards joked, "Looks like I'll be introducing @kanyewest Sunday at the MTV VMAs. I missed last year's show. Hope there's nothing I need to know." During the show he panicked when he found out Kanye had approval over his introductory jokes.
And since the final curtain he has sent out a bunch of hilarious tweets chronicling (the fictional) exploits of Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith (aka "The Karate Kid").
