Die Antwoord’s EXTREMELY NSFW New Video Will Get You Fired

Heck, I might get fired just trying to describe this thing! But let’s give it a shot. Here’s some background, in case you missed the first round of Die Antwoord hysteria a couple of months ago.

Die Antwoord is a very unique South African hip-hop/electronic group. They’re made up of a heavily tattooed MC named Ninja, a nearly (possibly?) albino vocalist named Yo-Landi and a DJ named Hi-Tek, who is not the Hi-Tek who produces songs for American rappers Mos Def, Talib Kweli and many others.

They make music and music videos that look and sound like they are from another planet. And based on their clip for the single “Evil Boy,” I don’t think I will be visiting that planet anytime soon. I also may NEVER sleep again in my life.

Here is the most safe for work recap I can write for the “Evil Boy” video: rats, demons, men with hooves, men in various states of…erotic excitement, topless women with no nipples (!!?!?!?), rats, more demons, trees adorned with phallic imagery, dudes rapping and singing in their boxer shorts… and Diplo. Diplo’s by far the least mortifying part about “Evil Boy.”

If you’re still somehow not terrified and need to watch it, grab your prayer beads and head over to Pitchfork to watch the HIGHLY NSFW Die Antwoord “Evil Boy” video.
