Taylor Swift is keeping it cool, daddio. (That's how people used to talk back in the '60s and stuff. Or at least that's what "hipsters" always talked like in the movies.) She's traded her signature long, curly blonde locks (but don't get nerve, it's just a wig!) and almond-shaped cat-lined eyes for a sleek '60s brunette, bespectacled beatnick situation. Her new steez is SO very Jules in Truffaut's '60s French New Wave flick Jules et Jim.
But Taylor isn't starring in a Jules et Jim remake (unfortunately). Instead, she was snapped in the above photo for a new photoshoot for Target, or Tar-zhay, as Jules would have referred to it. The Fearless Taylor Swift donned a black beret, black turtleneck with her dusky brunette wig to match for the shoot, which promotes the deluxe edition of her new album Speak Now, which goes on sale 10/25.
The look evokes a certain emo sensibility--mayhaps beatniks were the emo set of the '60s? Si c'est possible!
